Hi guys just a quick hello, my daughter and I have just started painting! We love it, new to the community. Not sure how to post our first models on here!
Welcome to the Forum! There's a few options for posting pictures but you'll need either a blog or a photo hosting account with someone like Flickr, Imgur, etc.
First things first, welcome both to the forum!
If you are new here I will give my standard "warning." :)
The forum is by turns warm, welcoming, well informed, willing to help and .... well weird!
To post pictures you can either use the Attachments and other options (https://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php?action=post;topic=22589.0;last_msg=356768#) button below the text box and add small images which will be stored on the Pendraken server. I don't remember the limit exactly but we are looking at 128kb or there abouts.
Or you can use an image hosting site like Flickr, Imgur, Imageshack and the like. There are free and paid for options. These sites let you upload your photos to them (remember to make them public) and to use the image site to generate a link url. Click on the icon above the text box that is next to the YouTube icon and paste the url into the box that pops up. This puts the image inside the post.
Hope that helps.
Once again welcome to the madhouse forum :)
Welcome
Welcome on board to the both of you and look forward to seeing your work :) .
Welcome to the forum to both of you.
Look forward to seeing your first painting.
Greetings!
What are you painting?
A warm welcome to you both to the forum.
Not sure what Ithoriel means by the forum being "Wierd". The nice man in a white coat, who buttons my jacket up at the back assures me I am not weird :)
Welcome!
I find Imgur easiest for image upload. There'll be help available of you give it a go! Always keen to see what others are up to.
Hello and welcome
:-h
Just started...
Need any pointers...
Ask away :)
Welcome aboard.

The depressing thing is that Orcs, although attended by gentlefolk in snowy robes, is not in any way an unusual member of the forum.
Makes me wonder if the forum affects people strangely, or if strange people are attracted to the forum. :-\
Welcome ! :-h
Thank you all for your warm welcome its great to be here! Ok ill try my best to send a pic or 2 of our first efforts :D

Mine and avas first attempt!! Be kind haha
Good stuff, the painting looks good.
With the basing I'd definitely paint the cast on bases of the figures, either brown to match the MDF or green to match the flock. And then I'd make sure there is at least some flock on the figure bases too - especially on the HMG which has a huge cast base.
I quite like the lush green look of your bases - even though I tend to go for more of a mix of brown earth and green grass.
Brilliant thank you for the advice! Much appreciated:)
Nice looking vignette and very lush basing. Well done sir and ma'am. :-bd
Thanks for posting!
:-bd =D> :-bd
Great first effort, thanks for posting
I'm looking forward to seeing more :)
Looking good
Excellent first effort!

Well, 2 out of 5 ain't bad...
Welcome to you both. Quick question - how old is Ava; wondering because female wargamers are unusual.
Ava is 8 years old! She loves painting models, it was her that got us to go to Pendraken!
Great, get em young !

Brilliant, I find painting really relaxing. To the point that Mrs Orcs will tell me to go and paint if I am getting a bit tetchy.
Great stuff! You can't go wrong with WWII Brits.
Thinking about my first efforts ... :-&
If I may make a small suggestion: consider substituting scatter grass (available from Pendraken) for the flocking. I am not a basing expert (some of the bases these chaps do are genuine works of art), but I find the grass to be less distracting than the flock. It's all personal taste, but something I found beneficial. :)
