Lee asked me to do some terrain for him, I thought, yeah, why not.
A VERY large Timecast order arrived. About 2kg worth of Timecast latex and three bridges! Glad I had a 2" brush handy to start the process off with base coats and inks.
I painted these in the same basing colours as Lee's GNW Swedes and his ACW Union that I completed previously.

Not the best light, but no way were two foot sections going to fit into my lightbox!

Clumps and tufts match his basing too.

A mixture of ploughed and growing (watch for Timecast's new 28mm range)

Rivers in two sizes, with fords. These have a dappled pva layer over them to give them a semi-gloss finish.

You can just see the stippling on the fords

The Timecast river sculpts are smooooooooth, so the PVA helps trick the eye.

The blue isn't that bright!

Love Timecast's details!

Yes, very nice. I have just done some and a big brush is the solution :-)
Nice work Will 8) .
That looks cool, a bit left field but what's the backing like
Nine, it's all flexible rubber
Thanks might look at picking some up I need a magnetic set though, how thick is the backing?
2-3mm thick
Thanks that might work

You have sparked my curiosity, why do they need to be magnetic?

To hold them in place when stored would be my guess. For no more reason than that's why I do it.
I like my terrain to not move
Timecast stuff is weighty enough so it doesn't
Even when beer hands are in play? :)
Oops, missed a field!
Caught it now and sorted it

I think I need to get some, how easy might it be to cut, I'm liking the rough ground but it's a bit too angular for my needs
