SVE1 British Corvette
Can anyone give me any info on this model? Is it based on a specific British class, or generic? A photo would be greatly appreciated if anyone has one to hand.
Cheers,
Kev
It comes like this:

Oh bugger! I'm going to HAVE to add that to my next order :D
This conversion from ancients to VBCW is going to get expensive - even in this scale!
Thanks Leon.

Kev

Not quite! I'd get as far as glueing the stack on wonky and spraying it grey! :D
We got it sent from a chap in Australia I think? I know that Sunray has got a nice one as well, I'm sure I've got a pic saved somewhere.
Bugger!
Now I'm realy going to have to get mine finished :-[
That is one nice peice of navy kit 8)
Lot of potential there ....... I can see it being useful for the 'liberation' of Littlehampton (VBCW)
Next month I think ...........
Cheers,
Kev
I have had an unmade corvet for about the last 2 years not knowing how I was going to modify it, now I have seen the model of Leons I have a much better of what can be done. An excellent model.
Oooooh shiny. 8) I can't believe that I never knew Pendraken had ships (don't do much World War II). :o I don't have a particular need for them in my gaming but, one sure would look nice in the collection! :)

Ah - the proper thought-processes of the wargamer - always lovely to see ;) ;D 8)
I believe the model is based on the Flower class. Matchbox and later Revell produced it in 1/76 scale . As I fight post war, I modified mine with a 4.5 gun , new modern bridge, radar masts and Shorts Sea-cat SAM. The 4.5 gives a very useful off shore artillery aspect to a game, and it gets borrowed a lot by other 10mm gamers. Its a classic Pendraken model. Soon, we may have some really useful MGBs to go with it. The hull of the Grey Goose master is starting to please me.
Watch out for Revell to reissue the Buckley class frigate this year. Good source of spares.
SUNRAY out.
THis is a bit cheeky ;)
About 3 years ago I had a topic on TMP where I was looking for 10mm waterline MTB as assault craft for early war commando raids.
Talk was that 'Dave' at Pendraken was making MTB's for a group of gamers for a display game at Derby.
Did Dave ever make these and if he did why cant I buy one?

We did! They needed a bit of work though before we could release them on sale, and then they got forgotten about amidst other bits and bobs. We got one out a while back and Sunray did a great job of tidying it up for us, but we've not had the time to get it moulded up yet. It is on my list of things to do, but I couldn't give you a timescale.
Cheers Leon 8)
I await with baited breath !

I think you should add the MBT (and perhaps MGBs) to the official requests list :D (Or is it already?)
I could use a few of each myself.
