Hi chaps,
Just bought some WW2 French Anti-Tank Rifles and there was a no upgrade option in the 1940 French list.
Any advice?
Surrender as soon as the Germans turn up?
Eat some cheese?
I'd suggest they'd have similar/identical stats to the Brit and German ones, so just use those? Haven't got the rules handy though.

Which AT Rifles is it representing?
The French used the Boys AT Rifle - so I suspect it is that. So I'd use the Boys stats from the British list and (depending on what scale you are play to) I'd allow one per 4 stands of infantry. Although others may offer alternative suggestions.
Cheers

Aren't they just the Boys rifle?
(Sorry Mr Insect ... two minds with but a single thought.)

Yes they are British Boys AT rifles so use those stats for them.....but don't get TOO carried away giving every French Infantry battalion lots of them....none were in 7th Army facing the main German thrust on 10 May 1940.
Their use by the French Army was EXTREMELY limited as outlined a couple of years ago by SultanBev:https://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=21178.0 (https://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=21178.0)
If you want to give your 1940 French grognards some AT capability then you are really limited to the French 25mm AT gun, with a few 47mm's from the Divisional level AT Battery thrown in if the Divisional Commander is having a good day.
Should you wish to do some further looking here is the original thread (in French) that SultanBev appears to have used: https://atf40.1fr1.net/t75-le-fusil-antichar-boys (https://atf40.1fr1.net/t75-le-fusil-antichar-boys) :-B
Excellent, one or two stands with them an a LOT of set dressing, perfect!
The actual staus is that the French swaped 500 25mm ATG for 500 Boys ATR. These seem to have never been issued so they had but did not use them.
