I've been in Vietnam for work for the last week or so and have had trouble accessing the forum.
When I have tried I get a message that 'this user has been banned'. This seems to be for the Guest user or my account.
I've got the error using hotel Wi-Fi and mobile data, and when using a Private browsing tab.
Once back in the UK all works fine again.
I'm wondering if there is some Geo blocking going on? Would be good to get this removed if possible as I'm likely to be out there again.
No trouble in Thailand.

I came across this issue a while ago and it was a result of using the VPN service Anonymox on Firefox while I was trying to log into the forum. If you're using a VPN try using another or going 'bareback'.

A possibility. I had access problems with Bull Guard's VPN.

Wikipedia suggests that Vietnam has bought the technology from the Chinese (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Firewall#Exporting_Great_Firewall_technology).

iPhone using Safari get a 'this user has been banned message' when attempting to access the forum
Same iPhone using Chrome fine
iPad using Safari fine
Tried a restart of the phone, will mess about with clearing cache later, but does feel something server side.
This is a bit weird, we've never had any access issues with our international members before. I can't see anything in the settings that would cause any problems, so I'll need to ask our website about it.

Whatever this is, doesn't seem to be entirely linked to VN as whilst I initially saw the problem whilst there, it had continued back in the UK, but only for a specific browser on my phone.

It could be that the IP address you were using in Vietnam was on a Spammer Banned list.
Many forum sites use websites like this one to check IPs
