Someone please tell me there is a simple WW2 French tank camouflage scheme.

Sorry. From Steven J Zaloga's "Blitzkrieg"
Char D1: 67e BCC "all over green with no markings".

Char D2: "generally two tone green and ochre outlined in black"
FCM 36: "Intricate horizontal 3 tone pattern"
Char B1: "most elaborately marked tanks of the 1939-40 battle"
Char Legere 35R: "usually camouflaged in a two or three tone scheme"
Char Legere R30 and R40: "generally remained in monotone green"
Char Legere 35H and 39H: "infantry Hotchiss ... frequently left in monotone dark green" - the cavalry version ... not so plain.
Char 2C: "most overall dark green"
Somua S35: you don't want to know
AMR 33/35: "Three toned pattern"
Other: Panhard a/c, P16 half track, UE - usually montone green
So if you mix Char 2C, D1, Infantry Hotchkiss you can just do a plain green - but I feel that's missing the joys of French armour.

Thanks
I think we have a winner
As fsn lists there were quite a few plain green schemes. But surely the fun of 1940s French force is all the lovely camo schemes!
Here is the Flames of War guide, if that helps

The pre-war tanks seemed to have had quite elaborate schemes, that certainly got simpler as the war progressed and thanks were rushed off the production line.

So the FT17s would be in this green then?

Not if you have the dexterity of a drunken goat

No, sorry. "Tended to be two toned in horizontal patterns."
