We previewed the main batch of sculpts for this range last year and we've now had an extra box arrive with a few additional troops as well.
In this batch we've got:

Madsen LMGs yay, sure I can convert them to WW2 use.
I don't know what Chunchu cavalry are, but the two on the left sure look suitable for 19th century Chinese cavalry. Excellent stuff.
From the Osprey book that Scott sent me as reference, they were local Manchurian bandits employed to harass Russian supply lines.
The Japanese NCO in the Osprey pic.. has disguised himself as Chinese, to the point of growing a beard and wearing a false pigtail.
Hope that's of some use. :)

Some interesting additions!
Would it be possible to have a look at the pose of the first chap? He looks more like he is doing a star jump rather than throwing a bomb?
I think you are doing star jumps wrong! :D

Perhaps - I was trying to say that the pose looks like all the limbs extended out fully, rather than when throwing there tends to be some bend on one side to get some leverage

FIFY :)
"now just pull the pin then count to 100 before throwing it"
I think our Japanese friend is "early cocking".

We've all done it.
Looks to me like he's throwing the satchel charge like an athletics hammer or a discus .... or he's involved in a "handbags at dawn" fight! :)
It'll be easy enough to tweak the arms a bit once it's been moulded, put a slight angle on the lead arm and tilt the charge downwards on the rear arm.
QuoteI don't know what Chunchu cavalry are...
Out of curiosity I checked Google for "Chunchu bandits Manchuria" and found - "Honghuzi". Plenty of useful information - waaaayyyy more than I thought there'd be TBH - and some nice photos, including a group of the bandits in custody (fastened together by their pigtails). I think it's safe to say, however, that this would be a touch too specific and doesn't require modelling. 🤣😂
Cheers,
Geoff
