All hi,

I was wondering if anyone could advise if a StuG has 1 or 2 radio antennae? I've seen images of some with none, some with one and some with two. Not sure if the two antennae ones are command vehicles?

Think they inteded to have 2 Antennae

According to the Encyclopedia of German tanks, Ausf G had two radios, whereas all the other marks had one radio.

Osprey NV19 adds:
Ausf A-D had one radio
Ausf E had two radios if PHQ and Battery HQ vehicles
From March 1941 an order specified Ausf A-D were retrofitted with 2nd radio if PHQ & Battery HQ vehicles.

I'll doing the Herman Goering Pz Division in Sicily/Italy

intending on doing a 10x StuG Battalion consisting of

1x HQ - I'll do 2x radio antennae on this vehicle
3x companies each with with 2x StuG and 1x StuH 45 so I'll do 1 x radio antennae on these
