I was looking at buying some gaming tokens/markers (arrows) that I can use to indicate that a unit has 'charged' this turn.
I initially looked at the Litko UK site - and put a couple of items into my basket, only to find at check-out that the items were actually being shipped (@ c.£25.00+) from the USA. Hardly viable since the items I was looking to buy were only £9.00 in value.
Can anybody recommend a genuinely UK stockist of Litko products?
Or maybe I can twist Leon's arm into making up some as gaming aids - at the price of P&P/Shipping from the USA there has to be a market in the UK for something similar :D
Cheers
Mark
Try Warbases.

Leon did allude to something coming in this area?

Thanks Jim - I checked them out & whilst they have an interesting (small) range - they don't have what I want, unfortunately.
Cheers

I did wonder..
A union of my favourite US and UK suppliers would guarantee beautiful offspring.

I find asking politely is much easier and works very well. Leon has happily produced several custom MDF items for me
Both Leon and Warbases have cut MDF to some rather odd shapes at my request. An arrow shouldn't be beyond either of them. Reasonable prices too, IMHO.
Alternatively, Etsy are a good source of that sort of thing, though postage can be eye-watering there too.
I bought some "token cases" from eBay recently. Clear plastic items - two halves - you put your counter inside and ... behold, it is safely protected. They certainly do save card/paper counters getting "tatty". The ones I got were circular, around 25mm.
I made 20 coloured circles - numbered 1-20 on ones side and with a question mark on the other side.
What will I use them for? If your commander suspects there is "enemy" at a location then place a counter there (with the ? showing face up) - that indicates there's a potential threat there. When you get to "whatever" range, turn the counter over. What number does it show? Check that against a "master list" for threats, which might be something like:
1 = Pz IV
2 = SdKfz 222
3 = ... you get my drift.
Some will be merely the "sound of an engine in the distance, driving away".
I also spotted some lovely Litko tokens but was also put off by the cost - especially for shipping to the UK.
Cheers,
Geoff

Yes, thanks Paul (& Itheriol) that was my next point of call :D
Although I had hoped for perspex/plastic rather than MDF - although the MDF might be considered more 'eco' (although I am not sure about that?)
Cheers

Check the Works on a weekly basis - also separate branches. All sorts of strange stuff turns up in the craft section.

Careful now, or you'll 'ave someone's eye out.

More likely they are micro dice ;)
One of my semi-frequent Modern Spearhead opponents used normal sized dice for direct fire and larger dice for artillery. He also had an even larger set of dice.
His reply when asked what he used them for was, "we hope they never have to be used"

Thank you all
Lots to think on
I had wanted my charge markers 'urgently' for a competition I will be playing in on the 21st Jan.
So delivery timing as well as cost was an important consideration
But I shall make do for now and spend my money with Pendraken when the product becomes available :D (soon I hope)
