The Assyrians sent in a pre-emptive strike against the Scythians today. Very rash of them, and they are going to be looking at understrength regiments for many years as a result. Again, we both found that dice can roll more snake's eyes than might appear mathematically possible.
Our attack was delayed by bad omens, but Lee wasn't inclined to come forward fast either.
Bad dice, but we broke their right wing.
Some hard fighting here; Lee's shooting dice were terrible, but so were my melee rolls.
Her chariots hit me hard, but it wasn't enough to save the invaders.
Another sweeping battle - great stuff! I like the density of troops to the desert, looks like a battle, but also lots of space for movement.
Did you manage to win this one FK?
In fact, but for the Sudanese slaughter the other day, I've been winning a lot recently (not always against Lee, mind you). This one could have gone either way; we were at match point on the last morale tests.
No doubt the little Siamese person is limbering up to drag me through the mud in the next half dozen games.
