York and Lancaster are marching out onto the field even as I type.
Pictures of the Yorkist victory will follow. Tough game.
The Battle of Spanker's Lane, 1481. A hard-fought Yorkist victory, when King Edward IV himself was severely wounded and his brother Richard nearly bought a parking lot. Desmond's Irish pulled off a well-timed ambush against Stanley early on, but they rallied against all the odds, and thereafter I couldn't roll above 2 for several rounds. Talbot's regiment (with the doggies on their pavises) were completely destroyed, and a number of others came near to it. Fortunately Henry's over-extended line finally broke under massed fire of my smoakie gunnes, and the day was saved.
One more.
Looking good
Cool, sounds a fun fight.
Nice looking miniatures. :)
:-bd =D> :-bd
A nice little action there Alexander and the figures look good too. I can't help but think that 'Spanker Lane' is either a 1950's Western character's name or a porn star one!
The place exists, in fact.

Or a school master from a classic "public school" novel...
"Watch out Topper!" ejaculated Carstairs, "Old Spanker's on the prowl again!"

...or The Beano ;)
Yaroo, gosh, chaps!
