Hi I'm Stephen
At aged 65 I'm a fully paid up member of the Airfix Generation and have been wargaming since 1967. I have model soldiers and AFVs (and warships) in a variety of scales.
I started in 10mm with Pendraken's Flodden Range about 4 years ago and having met Leon at Phalanx,St Helen's, I bought a lot of post war armour, as the Arab-Israeli conflicts are a particular favourite of mine. And I look forward to buying more from his Arab-Israeli range.
I recently visited the battlefields of northern France
looking at battlefields connected with the 1940 campaign and before going I bought some of Pendraken's early WW2 armour and the Blitzkrieg Commander rules which I really liked. I intend getting the Cold War Commander rules shortly.
Welcome to the forum, Stephen.
p.s. if you're quick, you can edit your post (e.g., I just tried typing "Pedestrian's Flodden Range" and it changed it to "Pedestrian's Flooded Range - good ol' auto-correct) :)
Hi Stephen, warning this place is Bedlam
Bedlam? Isn't that now the Imperial War Museum?
Welcome Steve.
The Arab-Israeli conflicts are of great interest. In 1973 I took cuttings from the newspapers every day ... then years later my Mum threw them out. :(
Photos, please of your figures. We all love pictures.
Welcome to the Forum Steven.
Welcome on board Stephen :) .
65, eh? You young whipper-snapper! :D
Welcome aboard!
The forum is a fund of good advice, good humour, and "goodness knows what they're talking about."
Seek the first when you need it, enjoy the atmosphere engendered by the second and feel free to ask for clarification on the last .... though you may occasionally regret asking! :)
May your time here be enjoyable and informative.
Welcome Stephen
I too am in Southport! Drop me a PM if you want and we can see if we have any gaming friends in common. My early war WWII forces got a lot of table time earlier this year.
Welcome Stephen :-h
Good to see the normal warnings have been issued ;D
