Post by: Westmarcher on 17 October 2022, 05:15:02 PM
I remember seeing something like this awaaaay back. Was it in the Tomorrow's World TV show (or even Blue Peter)? Did the British Army have one?

Excellent! I am sure too that the British one appeared on some TV programme when I was younger. I since recall the model table was broken up and scrapped, somebody tried to save the parts I think.

I appears that the British Army did have one way back when, looks similiar to the one in the clip Westmarcher posted?

It's a Cheiftain simulator though.....

The British one was in a hanger, and accurately recreated an actual part of Germany in 1:300

Seem to remember the RAF using something very similar for flight training in the late 70s (77,78)
