Title: 10mm science fiction figures - anyone recognise these castings?
Post by: Elliesdad on 15 October 2022, 07:57:26 AM
I recently won a small force of 10mm sci-fi vehicles and infantry on eBay. Whilst I probably have sufficient vehicles for a small game it would be nice to obtain more foot-sloggers (say just 20-30 figures). I have asked on Facebook and the suggestion there was that these models were Pendraken. Leon says not.
Does anyone recognise these castings at all, especially the infantry?
As I say, it's the infantry I'm really after - the infantry I have seem to be just 2 poses and a little more variety would be ideal. But if I don't know who makes 'em I can hardly order some reinforcements.
Many thanks,
Geoff

Are they metal or resin. If resin could be Marbeth, long gone I'm afraid. Otherwise no idea

They're metal. A couple of the tanks came away from the bases (presumably when in transit) and the castings look quite rough underneath.

Geoff 😉

A couple of people on Facebook have suggested the infantry may well be Warrior Miniatures (although some of the vehicles appear to be Irregular Miniatures 6mm castings).

Sadly Warrior Miniatures aren't taking orders/responding to queries at this time... ☹️☹️ Their website doesn't have any images of the sci-fi range, but the figure listing does look hopeful. It looks like I'll need to either wait for Warrior to come back to action or hope I can pick something up from eBay or various bring & buy's.

The vehicles are almost certainly Irregular miniatures 6mm Range.

The Warrior site does have piccies of most of the infantry, do look like your stuff Geoff. I searched Warrior Minatures which bought up the following URL http://www.warriorminiatures.com/. To get to the pictures click on gallery and select the range on the lefthand bar.

Thanks gents.
You correctly identified the castings as Warrior Miniatures. 👏👏👍
My inability to view the images on the Warrior website I can only put down to being "an age thing". I now know what more I need, I just can't obtain them because Warrior are on hiatus at the moment... ☹️
Thanks again,
Geoff

That is very strange as the vehicle labeled 1028 is also on the Irregular 6mm Website as 6SF15 armoured assault gun

Hmmm... curious.
Most odd, as the infantry are definitely on the large side of 10mm - being around 12mm+.

Don't know if this is of interest to you if the manufacturers site is not active but I remembered an old thread where someone did Aliens 2 using 10mm stuff from Warrior:

https://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,11612.0.html (https://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,11612.0.html)

Its actually from way back in 2015, thought it was a bit more recent than that.

For information - I see from battle77.blogspot.com/2025/06/warrior-miniatures.html that Warrior Miniatures of Glasgow are now back in production.
Their website - www.warriorminiatures.com/ is now back up and running too.
At least I can now get a few more 10mm Colonial Marines to complete my sci-fi forces. (Sorry Leon, but it is the WM minis I need to match the miniatures I already have)

Cheers,

Geoff

Just Picked up this thread with the interesting news about Warror miniatures.
Irregular miniatures human forces (I can't get picture to load) shows a Tank very similar to the one FSN found on the warrior site in the Human Sci Fi forces by Irregular

Indeed.
TBH I have sufficient vehicles anyway, it was just the infantry I needed more of.
For sci-fi I prefer vehicles/mechs to be fairly generic - for example, in 6mm scale a "mech" would look rather large and imposing, but the same model may well be suitable for a 15mm or 20mm scale game but, because it would look relatively small, it would perhaps be used as a robot (barely much larger than a human). It works for me at least 😉
