Bonjour mon ami JC frog. je m'appelle Orcs.
Like most Brits that is the appalling limit of my French, apart from counting to 10, ordering up to 10 beers or coffees or baguettes.
Welcome to the forum
Arternoon - enjoy

I used to be able to say - in Italian - "excuse me a moment, while I speak to my wife". Sadly in the intervening 50+ years I have never had opportunity to use this phrase...
Geoff 😉

My aunt and uncle spent time living in Italy and on returning home had a number if Italian au pairs. My cousin and I, both primary school age, badgered one of them to teach us some Italian and she did. It was a short sentence that rolled off the tongue. With no idea what it meant I demonstrated my linguistic skill to my aunt who suggested that "The mouse and the elephant made love in the vacuum cleaner" might not be the most useful Italian to have learned. I imagine there were words between my aunt and the au pair.
;D ;D ;D
