This could be curious!
Not really 'into' music... just have liked various stuff, over the years.
My 'overall' Faves would be Lynyrd Skynyrd...or Stones....or Big Country... or... LOL!
Suggest select ONE! :o ;D
Select one he says, arrgh
That's a toss up between Pink Floyd, Journey, Mostly Autumn, Lera Lynn and Southport's best export, Fag Ash Lil.
I don't tend to have one favourite band anymore, just phases of liking one artist's more than anything else each week. Currently it's Heaven's Hung in Black by WASP.
Mark
Bellowhead! Closely followed by Steeleye Span. :-[
Cheers Paul
Just one?!?!?!
Gotta go with the mighty RUSH!
My favourite band varies everytime I watch YouTube.
Two joint really, Queen and Uriah Heep (who I saw Wednesday and am still buzzing about: they were amazing m/ )
Rubber
Fleetwood Mac, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Zaz, Benny Goodman, Taverner Choir Consort and Players
Depending upon mood.
Currently? Wet Leg (relatively new band from the Isle of Wight). Known for "Chaise Longue."

Also, I'm not really a Punk fan - too shouty for a start, nor can I take the angry faces seriously - but I recently 'discovered' The Chats (after Wet Leg did a good cover of The Chats' "Smoko") - modern punk from the Noosa area in Australia - some amusing 'official' YouTube videos (i.e., not concert footage) and lyrics plus high energy guitar play.

Old favourites include Steely Dan and Fleetwood Mac.
It depends on my mood. In no particular order, ZZ Top, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac, Pink Floyd, Moody Blues and, of course, the Hampsters whose covers of ZZ Top, Hendrix and the like are without peer, in my view.
As others have said, lots of favourites that I listen to regularly, mainly 80's/90's rock. Queen, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Metallica, Guns 'n' Roses, Def Leppard, Whitesnake, Pearl Jam. Also Steel Panther for those who enjoy a bit of crude fun in their 1980's 'hair' rock/metal.
For the younger folks, London Grammar are in my car collection along with Linkin Park, Evanescence, Disturbed, Kid Rock and Eminem. So quite a selection really and hard to pick a favourite.
Vienna Philharmonic, Berlin Philharmonic, Halle Orchestra! Oh, and Steeleye Span. ;)
Hi Mollinary
Quoteand Steeleye Span. ;)
. Not just a great rules writer then, a man of taste as well!
Cheers Paul
Agree about Wet Leg
Impossible to answer, I have very eclectic tastes and what I want to listen to varies almost day-to-day. Currently listening a lot to London Grammar and The Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band.
One consistant I can always listen to since my yough has been Thin Lizzy, so I suppose they are sort of my favourite. :-\
Academy of Ancient Music.
Good choice!
QuoteAcademy of Ancient Music.

I have a rather eclectic taste in music. But manly like Leon 80's/90's heavy Rock
Thin Lizzy, Def Leppard, Whitesnake, Meatloaf, Pink Floyd, Rainbow, Judas priest, Iron Maiden.
I Saw U2 before they were famous playing Hammersmith Apollo as a support act to the main band ( Who i now can't remember).
I also saw Iron Maiden around 1982 playing at the Ruskin Arms.
