Just some photos of two diorama's of the Battle of Bunker Hill taken at the Bunker Hill Museum, Boston, at the end of July.

This one shows the inside of the Rebel redoubt on top of Breeds Hill. I think the figures looked about 54mm scale.
The next three are of a much larger diorama and the figures looked about 10mm to me!

Above. You can just make out the British light infantry charging along the beach at the bottom of the photo, unfortunately in 'march column' (ouch). Bunker (Breeds) Hill and the redoubt are at the top of the photo.

Above. The Rebel redoubt (not bad as it was built during the preceeding night)! Apologies that the photos are not clearer, they were taken through a glass case. Chatting to the National Parks Ranger at the museum, he told me that 25% of all the British officer casualties suffered during the entire war happened at Bunker Hill. The museum is well worth a visit, but if you go there with the intention of seeing what the battlefield was like, forget it. Bunker (Breeds) Hill is just an open grassed square (with a monument in the middle) completely surrounded by trees and buildings.

Reminds me of the Wargames Museum in Valencia (Museo de Soldaditos de Plomo L'Iber:https://www.museoliber.org/en/) which I went to on a holiday a few years back, which had great cases of figures - of various scales - and large dioramas depicting famous battles.
The 25mm Battle of Almansa, using Minifigs figures (with a lot of interesting conventions) was inspiring; as was the Battle of Sedan (40mm figures if I remember correctly) and a 15mm depiction of the Battle of Gaugamela using the Xyston Miniatures Hellenistic range.
If you are on holiday in Valencia there is also the Museo Histórico Militar - with a focus on the Spanish Civil War.
It's nice to see figures being used to depict famous battles - it really brings them to life (IMHO).
