New one today. Flavius Alexandros Belisarius is attempting to liberate Italy from the Goths.
Good luck to Lee :D
She had it, but I was on form today. Belisarius lived up to his reputation.
With true Gothic gung-ho ferocity, King Wittigis attempted to lead an ambush from behind Byzantine lines. Amazingly, he was still alive at the end of the game, though looking like a human porcupine from all the arrows in his armour.
Note the Ostrogothic infantry reacting to reports of an untouched wine cellar in the villa of Caecillius Metellus Postumus.
Rematch this afternoon; this time Lee had the Byzantines, and I regret to say I didn't inflict a single casualty on them. Their sole loss was of an element of Huns trying to ford a river in spate.
Normal service resumed then !
I lost control early on; from the first move most of my army went into an uncontrolled attack.
When our king was shot in the second round, we knew we were in trouble.
We should have cooperated with the Vandals to keep the Romans out of Africa. As if their Huns weren't bad enough....
Good looking game
Sounds like the dice where against you FK (well at least the dice...)
In fairness, she's a tricky opponent too.
