With true Gothic gung-ho ferocity, King Wittigis attempted to lead an ambush from behind Byzantine lines. Amazingly, he was still alive at the end of the game, though looking like a human porcupine from all the arrows in his armour.
Note the Ostrogothic infantry reacting to reports of an untouched wine cellar in the villa of Caecillius Metellus Postumus.

Rematch this afternoon; this time Lee had the Byzantines, and I regret to say I didn't inflict a single casualty on them. Their sole loss was of an element of Huns trying to ford a river in spate.

I lost control early on; from the first move most of my army went into an uncontrolled attack.
