Title: Poor Coordination question
Post by: Amra on 25 February 2022, 05:24:43 AM
Hi All ,

Poor Coordination means a -1 to orders of mixed order groups
Does this include Recce ? If an infantry group has an armoured car recce unit ?
I'm assuming a Cavalry Recce counted infantry because it's type is INF:CAV ?
Or no , because the group getting the order didnt include the Recce ...

Also , a command force could have say , AFV and INF , but the penalty would only be if they were in the same order group right ? eg the AFVs fire oppourtunity then don't activate , the INF are given orders
Have I got this right ?
Cheers

But you don't give Orders to Recce - they move Independently - and Recce cannot give orders themselves.
So your question doesn't apply.
Or am I misunderstanding something here  :) ?

With the AVF & Infantry Command Group - if you order the AFV to shoot and the Infantry to move that is a -1 (assuming they are Rigid Tac Doc). If the order to both AFV & Infantry is move (or both shoot) it is the same order to all troops/units within the Order Group, so they get a +1 to their CV roll for that order.

Again, am I answering your question?

Yes !
Thank you .
So in the case of a AFV/INF command I could activate AFVs only ,then activate INF only for no penalty ?

Also when INF:CAV who are Recce Support operate as "normal" rather than Recce , are they classed as INF for Poor Coordination ?

Yes - you can activate the AFVs with a set of orders, then drop them (assuming you have not blundered or Failed your Command Roll) and then activate the Infantry, but you cannot then go back to the AFVs after the Infantry have been commanded.

Recce Cavalry count as Infantry in most circumstances - but the Poor co-ordination wouldnt apply to them as they are Recce - not actual Infantry units.
