Title: reduce that mountain: 2022 edition
Post by: petercooman on 25 January 2022, 07:44:15 PM
Allright gentlemen, about time i got this one going. Had an odd couple of weeks at the start of this year, changing my work regime, a lot of assembling, and some house chores. But now i finally got something painted.

abandaoned abbey set by tt combat. This one is modular and can be set up in a number of ways. I'll be counting the separate pieces.

So that makes 23 models painted so far in 2020

total tally: about 6757 models are painted and 2386 models are still waiting for love.

Very nice job on the Gargoyle!

I'd missed the post about the TT combat Abbey before, that looks really nice. I am very tempted.

3rd PanzerDivision will be pleased :)

Pedantic mode on
The White tactical sign on the back of the truck looks to be NATO influenced. Germany used an open rectangle for infantry during WWII
Pedantic mode off

Pile of shame for this year:

Vampire Army (this one is at least cleaned up and waiting for a warm day to prime them)
Barbarian Army
Ents
Trolls

And a slowly growing handful of Battlemechs.

Yes mine grows - 40 Stargrave figures added. Now got 80 28's around 200 10mm and about 50 15mm to attack.

Hey everyone,

Haven't updated in a while, or been around at all. i have painted some odd models here and there maybe 5 in total, but haven't uploaded the pics.

Fact of the matter is, my mum's health has deteriorated a lot in a short time. So i'm very busy taking care of that. Really doesn't help that my dad hasn't got a drivers licence and she is in an intensive care unit 45km away from his house.

So miniatures have taken a step back as i spend most of my days driving from here to there and all the stuff that surrounds it.

just wanted to post something, haven't forgotten about you guys, just didn't have time yet to update! i'll be back when the dust settles!

Make sure you look after yourself as well.

Hey Peter - thanks for thinking about us!

As the others say family first. But also look after yourself - you need to be good to support your parents. So a bit of painting may be a very good thing.

Hello all! Long time no see.

So my mom is doing ok, all things considered. At home, with oxygen 24/7, but after being written off by the doctors, we'll take that as a win.

Been trying to get back at it slowly, think i painted 2 or 3 minis. Started a game of BKC 4 with the game group, have played through 2 turns last week, and everything was left to continue this week.

Had to cancel, as my mother in law got diagnosed with cancer yesterday. Pretty far in, already spread.

So yeah, instead of a slow comeback, i'm guessing i'll be on pause some more as we get things in order.

Anyway, besides all that, I want to wish you all a merry christmas and a happy new year in advance, and hopefully i will fin some more time next year to continue!
