Just a few pics of some SYW units. Sold these a while ago, and it wasn't easy to part with them after putting effort into those flags :(
Or indeed putting "GR" on those mitres!

Those are excellent! Some of the pics people have posted recently make me forget that they're only 10mm tall!
All I can say is "superb", but that is to be expected from the master 8)

They are hand painted. The Prussian figures at the time had cast on flags that had to be hand painted. To keep them consistent I decided to use paper for the Austrian flags and paint them in the same style. I wouldn't do it again though; it was painstaking work. I'm only interested in high quality printed flags these days.
Great paint jobs- How many figures are you painting per evening at the mo - as in how long does it take you to knock out the produce. I ask you this as Im currently building a Napoleonic Russian Army and its taking me about 2 evenings (8-11.30) to knock out 20 inf or 12 cav to round about the same standard as these 7YW ( see my Nap Russians in Photos). I know theres easier ways to mass produce but I do like to show off the miniature to the standard of the casting rather than splodge paint for mass production - but am often tempted to do so.
Anycase great job

God save the Queen
At the moment I am painting at the rate of about 30 to 40 figures per year.
:o
Sculpting new figures leaves little time to paint them. If I had free time I'd guess it would take about six to eight hours to paint a unit of 30 figures? These Austrians are painted with a slightly less demanding process than the one I currently use.
OOOooooohhhhhhhh :P So tempted to buy ....
These are the photos you are looking for...
Well done for finding this! I had Kev Rouse produce another four figures per battalion, painted in the same style, to bring them up to 16man battalions!
I would like to say these are fabulous painted figures but my brain doesn't get past the overlaid text.
Very impressive looking collection.
Jim Duncan - if you right click on the picture you want too see and then go "Open image in a new tab" it should then open without the overlay showing. Works OK for me using Win 10 and Firefox browser.
