To all serving and ex tankies, have a good Cambrai day! Hope the 'gunfire' wasn't too loud.  ;)

I didn't know about Cambrai Day either. TIL!

While it is good that we honour the spirit of "Lest We Forget."

Slightly more importantly, it is World Children's Day.

I have made modest donations to Help for Heroes and Unicef to mark both.

RTR have been celebrating Cambrai Day from way before my time in the 1970's, heres one from Afghanistan:


I have always supposed that every British Army regiment has it's own 'special' day.
