Just testing the curse of the apostrophe in the subject title.
Cheers - Phil. :)
Does the edit key work ?.....Seems to !
Looks like it does
Please be careful, you may break the entire forum ! :ar! :ar!
It used to be possible to also change the heading when replying, which was also causing issues if there was an apostrophe. But that seems to be gone, so I guess problem solved!
Edit: with the modify option, you can change the header, but it doesn't show. Apostrophes work though.
If you use the full reply button rather than the quick reply at the bottom you get the option to change heading when posting too. The quick reply is handy though!
Just changed the Subject to see what happens
Nothing
The subject is changed on the list of most recent posts

Well that will be confusing. I think that option should be locked out.
Some other forums behave like that, suppose it means when things go off topic after the first page it can be renamed. But does also leave it open to confusion if changed a lot
The change of title seems to work pretty well on LAF, which uses a version of SMF software. People tend to use it on longer threads to indicate when an update has been made - rather than just totally changing thread names at random.
Yeah, so long as the forum users are sensible about it, which I'd say most here would be. Can't say they'd be sensible about a lot of stuff, but thread title's are probably okay... ;D

But look how quickly they are derailed, do you change the thread on derailment? If so they would change with in Minutes of the thread being opened
