Having painted up a few units for my early feudal Japanese armies I thought I'd use them for another small playtest of my rules.
They're generally aimed at larger battles but actually worked okay for a quick game with a much smaller number of troops.
A contingent of provincial samurai aligned with the Minamoto have come across a Taira general and his personal retinue and the two forces clash across a small river.

I'm still reasonably happy with the core rules but there are a few nuances to refine still.

Thanks, more a stream than a river perhaps though the only one I have currently! It was only counted as a minor obstacle regardless.
