Title: WW1 Russian company standards
Post by: Nouseforausername on 18 September 2021, 10:11:20 PM
I am working through a Russian WW1 army at the moment.

I have read several stories (August 1914 comes to mind as one of the most prominent in this situation) where a lot of importance is placed in the 'company standard'. However, I can't find any pictures of these flags. I'd like to include some in my armies. Can anyone point me in the direction of any examples (and anywhere I can get/print) some for my army?

Thanks

N

I was going to suggest Empress miniatures 28mm range, for inspiration, N.

Could have sworn I'd seen some of those there...But just having had a look at the flags they've got.....I can't find them, now !! :'(

Sorry - Phil. :(

No worries. I'll keep looking. The vastness and variations of the army are such a lure for the Wargamer, but also a minefield to navigate and paint correctly... Don't get me started on shoulder boards, I'm still trying to figure that one out too.
