Fresh from Rumour Control - a range of figure sculpts dedicated to the Yom Kippur war are nearing completion.
I know cause there is now a shortage of wine bottle corks in Cardigan & Dyfed.
Good news....
Go away !
(I can't work under these conditions ! :P)
There's this...the 'secret' historical project I'm working on.......(that's almost finished, as well)......Then around another three big ranges of other 'stuff'.....or is it four ?....I dunno....My brain is leaking out of my ears.....(I've just remembered...there's yet another secret project that I started MONTHS ago.)
Cheers - Cracking up of Wales. :P

Maybe home brew Elderberry Wine has come into fashion?

Rumour I heard was that you spent all your time blasting peigons and trying to catch innocent polecats and pine martins. :P

Or possible Make Amurru Great Again?
:)

Don't joke Nobby.
Techno is getting grief from genuine home wine makers for bulk buying the corks !
What you have to ask -"What is he using/abusing the corks for??
Saw this on EBay, from someone called WelshPhil

Nice to see he's only using half corks.

To stick the dollies to, while I'm working on a figure......I think you already knew that. ;)
Cheers - Phil :)

Yeah, but the Forum don't. Can you treat them to an image of a dollie on a cork?
I am trying to ignore this, as I am trying to "rationalize" and complete my many armies - Please do laugh at this, it a a serious and conscientious objective That I am hoping to achieve.
So far I have finished
10mm WW2 Polish
10mm WW2 Belgian
10mm WW2 Early German
10mm DAK
10mm 8th Army
10mm Italians for western desert
20mm WW2 Early War British
20mm Late War British
20mm WW2 British Commandos
I will not bore you with what is left to do but suffice to say it is several times longer than the above list.
Therefore I do not need to be tempted by the Arab-Israeli wars. I can confirm that having been privilidged to see the many many greens at Techno towers, that they are superb figures.
Now leave me to go back to my self flagellation to repent of thinking about buying into another period. :)

That's a good set of Finished forces. But a see a couple of problems with the later ones, 1) they are too big and 2) they are all British
If you have already done DAK. 8th Army and Italians - then you probably have a good start on terrain for Arab Israeli wars, and a decent start on some of the early kit.
I'm now thinking that last sentence may not be that helpful ;)

I forgot my finished 20mm WW2 Germans. I probably have another 150 or so Late war Germans that just need fully organizing into platoons with a few figures to paint to complete Engineers gun teams ETC. So I do have opponents for the British.
I shall ignore the last sentence, as it is very true but even more unhelpful. :)
The last sentence may not be helpful, but it is true.
I can see the natural flow from the DAK to the Golan Heights in 1967 and the last Hurrah of the Panzer IV ... plausibly confronted by late war Shermans (Shermen?)
It's all a bit "circle of life" really.

I can do with out this "Help" thanks Nobby !!
I am studiously ignoring the the book on the shelf in front of me "Tank battles in Miniature - A wargamers guide to the Arab-Israli wars since 1948"

Alas poor Orcs. He is summering from Post Covid white metal mountain.
I knew I would OD on 10mm, so while lockdown lasted, I diverted into 3mm or 1/600.
Now returning to the one true scale. And a project about a post WW2 East Mediterranean island called "Vesta" which has an Orthodox Christian demographic in the south and a Muslim population to the north. Loosely based on Cyprus/Crete. It has a couple of VERY strategic airfields.
Arab - Israeli will make perfect proxy troops.

Most of it was Pre-Covid, I have managed to slim it down from Everest to K2 in lockdown :)
