Any chance of a photo of these figures? I am thinking they might proxy for Yemeni tribesmen for my Aden/Radfan project.

Before they evolved they were the Carpeta Carpeta poeple. I bet their favourite vanish is mat.
(It used to be varnish, but who needs an r when you can pronounce it like a southerner having a strip was. Fackling grate this evolution.
