So, what did you chaps get, if anything at all?
My daughter bought me Osprey's 'Operation Bagration' by Zaloga as requested. As always from Zaloga an excellent book and one I'm looking forward to reading.
My son, who has autism, surprised my with the 'Dad's Army' DVD boxed set :). I never quite know what me may have bought, but this was bang on and both myself and my wife will enjoy watching these at our leisure.
Mug, fleece and phone & wallet holder for my bike do I don't have to have massive panniers on all the time... 8)
I got taken out for a full English breakfast.
New Razor saw, Beers, Savoury snacks and a bar of good dark chocolate.
So I did very well
Hi
From my son (15): Gloucester & Newbury, 1643: The Turning Point of the Civil War by Jon Day and a rather nice large bottle of Blond Belgian Beer (now empty), he knows me well!
Cheers Paul
PS. Is it just me who is finding it uncomfortable and disconcerting that their children are turning in to young adults?
Those of us in NZ will have to wait until September :-w
My son took great delight in pointing out that he turns 30 this year :o :o :o
A cushion with "Best Ever Grandad" written on it.
Mrs. R4 already has a mug with "I know, I look too young to be a Grandma" on it. I suspect hers is more accurate . . .
A map of 'Adventures in the UK' so that we can plan some outings after lockdown. And a box of Maltesers of course.
5 parsecs from home, solo sci fi rules. They look like a lot of fun

Just rolled up my crew and ship. Looking forward to playing it, real life permitting.
A cup of coffee and a piece of cake from my wife and messages from the children and their partners (which included 'happy fathers not quite in law day' from my daughter's partner!). I bought myself a paperback!
I played a solo Wings of Glory WWI game set in October 1916 with an N.17, an N.16 and a Morane Bullet (loosely based on 60 Sqn RFC) attacking a balloon defended by two Albatros scouts. One exploded balloon and one exploded Morane (and a few damaged aircraft).
Edward
A new fountain pen :D

For me, the moment of panic was realising that my younger sister was now an old woman.
Decision Games' D Day Sword Beach: On to Caen from my daughter (she asked for a list, but the Pendraken figures proved 'too complicated'. She's just finished a degree in Philosophy, Ethics and Religion but a few figure codes are too much?!). Good second choice though. :)
Bottle of Chablis from my son (14 - I suspect help from his mum). He has ASD and was so happy at my reaction that he had to tell me I was right to be pleased as 'It cost £XX!'

Cool. I don't often go for solo games but these really seem to have something going for them, and I do love a random table

Yes but it gets worse. Ours are no longer "young" adults.
