The victory at Harry's Cross * today moved the House of York that little bit closer to the big chair. And this despite a snowstorm in our faces, which the Lancastrians were not above using to hide themselves from the Son of York.
Pix to follow, when Krisanan of Anjou has got over her arrow-shock.
* The village got its name when John drank Harry's beer in The Ploughman's Legs on Michaelmas Eve. As Harry said, "Oi bain't just cross; Oi be fair livid loike!", before he hit John over the head with the dartboard.
Lee playing the Yorkists then ?
Nope. But she has an alarming way of losing the first game, then winning the next six.

There are more, but I keep being told the file is too large. Pardon me, but my patience with electronic bullies is limited.

Super stuff, Alexander.....Love the pavise designs. :-bd :-bd
(What's the plural of pavise ? Pavise or pavises ?) :-\
Cheers - Phil. :)
I used a few of the fantasy cavalry; to compensate for their giant stature, I glued slightly thicker coffee-stirring spatulas under the bases of the historical figures, giving them an extra millimetre of height. It worked pretty well, though basing afterwards was a bit of a chore.
There is always a work round Alexander
:-bd =D> :-bd
Rematch today; the Battle of Grantchester and Fen Ditton.
We fought each other to an exhausted standstill on this one.
I still don't know whether it's Pavise, or Pavises. =)
I DO try and learn.
Cheers - Phil ;)
I'd guess an -s ending.
You mean you don't know ? :o :o :o :o :o ;)
(I was vainly hoping that someone would actually spot the fact, that the forum's total historical ignoramus actually knew the word pavise, and had remembered it , before he went on to the Arab/Israeli war...and loads of other things.)
Cheers - Gibbering of Wales. ;)
Not tried Google Phil, and no I dont know either.
Lee's rather anti-Welsh right now; the west country levies did less than stellar service to the Lancastrian cause today.

Well....Lee's lost my support,
totally, from this point.
Cheers - Phil.......(I know who I want to win from now on.) ;).....(Me...changing sides ?)

I'll tell her.
In all fairness, I'm not sure she could find Wales on the map!
Well..... the EU completely missed/cut Wales off a map, a few years ago......So why on Earth should Lee worry. ;D ;D ;D ;D
If she's looked at that map......... ;)
Cheers - Phil. :)
I always liked the map of Albion that GW did for the Dark Shadows campaign - just to the left of the main island was written "Here be Whales".
Lee's sorry she was disrespectful about Wales; the Welsh did rather better than the English in today's WotR game (though I narrowly won anyway).
See....The curse of the Druids is working. ;)
Cheers - Phil. :)
But Drids aint in asny Welsh kingdom, they are on Angalsey
Sorry. Bad mood. Ignore me.
WE all get em ATM ;)
I'm lucky ;)....I can just go and have a really damn good rant in 'the prefects'' room......Not that I ever do. :^o :^o :^o :^o
To slightly paraphrase Ian....I think we all get the 'grumps' from time to time....especially at the mo'.
Chin up, Martyn.
Cheers - Phil. :)
