This is the first French unit for my 1809 Campaign in Italy Project. The scope of the project has been left somewhat vague.

Lovely stuff, hope you don't mind me resizing the picture so it can be seen in all it's glory.
If you "quote" my post you'll see the edit I've done to the first img tag

No problem - I was wrestling with re-sizing this and had several false starts. I've done it before but could I remember how to do it this time... Doh!
Those look very, very nice Gareth 8).
Super. and not a figure base in sight.
My own projects start off rigorously planned and only become vague as the actual minis start arriving.
Very nice Gareth. Great work on the cockades
Superb work Gareth.

Wise, very wise ;)
Looking good
Nice work, are you basing for a particular rule set?

Thanks - It sounds a bit arrogant but as I intend to paint both sides for this campaign, the basing is determined by what looks right to me and I will adapt the rules to fit. I want to be able to game larger battles, even little campaigns, so something like Snappy Nappy might work - but I am still looking for a set that gives the feel of what I am after.
They look damn fine, Gareth. :-bd
Cheers - Phil. :)
Excellent work on those. =D> =D> =D>

That is a very sensible approach and not arrogant at all. Basing is the bane of wargaming these days with, what sometimes seems to be, a near fundamentalist-like and hide-bound approach. I haven't rebased anything in 20 years I should think and like you I modifying rules to fit my bases which are, similarly, determined principally by what looks right to me.
