I would be nice also if we could have a Choson or Yi Korean range and a Ming chinese range.
So we could play the Imji wars ;)

I am giving very serious consideration to doing Choson Korean figures this year, but its a question of finding the design time.
And some Ming ? :D
Maybe, but what I've found on the Ming may not be solid enough to act as a basis for sculpting.... plus what I do have gives two rather contradictory pictures of how they looked.
Big country, a dynasty that lasted several centuries; maybe all the info is correct.
If I do the Ming they'll be focused on the Imjin war period. So far the best source is Bradford's new book "Hideyoshi's Korean Invasion" which has a nice section on the Ming. I'll have to ask Brian about some issues though; the extent of armour usage for example. I get the impression from his work that most foot troops were armoured, whereas the Ospreys give the impression most weren't (though Brian does mention poorly equiped impressed troops). Importantly he points out that research on the Ming is still ongoing and there are areas that will develop.
I am keeping an interested eye on Cavalcade's new Ming that will soon see additions, to see what interpretations they've chosen.

Yes I have that book already (the most expenive book I've ever bought!) Its a good clearly written narative history of the war, but contains little information on details like military dress.
