I tried to find the piccy that Steve might have wanted to link to....

There were three or four probable options..but couldn't decide which was the one he wanted. ;)

Cultural appendix

The Painting in question has been scanned at to 48 gigapixel resolution and is presented here for you to pan and zoom about.

The original is very large, with figures being slightly larger than life size.
The hi-res scan present lots of details that aren't apparent on screen-size presentations.

For example: "Somebody invited his kids and now they're playing with the gunpowder".
