Title: British Cavalry Tactics, 1879
Post by: MSawyer on 04 March 2021, 10:50:52 PM
I am planning to get some British cavalry for my war gaming of the Anglo-Zulu War of 1879, and was wondering if there are any good sources on the tactics that were used. From some limited research I have done to write this post, I found that the 1st King's Dragoon Guards took part in the Battle of Ulundi where it captured the Zulu king Cetshwayo kaMpande. I understand they conducted a charge during the battle but I don't see anything yet about any other functions they might have preformed or how they were organized.
