It is currently six degrees in my kitchen/ diner extension.

That's only two degrees warmer than my fridge!

Fortunately the rest of the house is between eighteen and twenty degrees.

Yep, we're about 8 degrees in the workshop again today so it's a tad nippy!

We used to have to leave the heating on 24/7 during cold spells like this were I worked, otherwise it was too cold to spray paint models properly. Also when cnc machining parts, they would change size slightly, which was not good when working to hundreths of a millimeter!

I got VERY cold this morning.

The outside pipes to the fields were (Unsurprisingly) all frozen, so we had to get an outside tap working, then ferry 8 lots of water in a plastic 5 gallon  'drum' up to the fields, so the gee- gees had some water to drink.

About 100 yards, each time, with the full drum in a wheelbarrow........it was uphill, too. X_X (Von did more than half, before anyone asks.) :D

I was surprised that my poor little hands were able to push any putty about once I got back indoors.....They'd gone a pretty blueish colour.)

How do folk even survive in the Arctic ? :o :o :o

Cheers - Phil

Found it, but empty, of course...

As to the weather/ Getting Guttering around new FLAT flat roofs seemed a good idea...and works fine with Rain. Ice and Snow build-up, maybe not so good...but damned if I'm going to clear them!   ;D

And...a cautionary, Very Sad story, for Dog walkers. Recently, a lass was with her much loved dog at a lake with very thick ice. The dog SLIPPED on icy decking and somehow ended up, lost under the ice. A Real Gent...with cold water experience, later recovered and returned the body.

So, be extra careful, even 'NEAR 'water...    :( :( :(
