AKA Sunray.....
Who managed to fall off a roof yesterday, breaking his arm....and needing stitches in his face. X_X
.....And then discharging himself asap.....(Who can blame him !!)
Get well really soon, Matey !....Pleased to hear you don't feel too bad.
Very best wishes - Phil
Was alcohol involved?
;D
Get well soon James.
Hope it's not too bad, Sunray.
Was it your painting arm? :(
Sorry to hear that, I hope you're feeling better soon James!
Ouch!! Sorry to hear that. Look after yourself and here's to a swift recovery.
Weren't you a little late for playing Santa Claus? ;)
Bit of epoxy filler, paint over it carefully - soon be good as new!
James you know you're not literally a sun ray right? 😅
Get well soon!
Seems to be an epidemic of it, Will McNally feel off his roof 2 weeks ago, broke shoulder, so I might even offer some sympathy James (Na dont know how ;)
Get well soon Sunray.

Certainly not me. I think a hospital is probably one of the places you're most likely to catch the wretched bug, isn't it?
Blimey, hope you feel OK and get well soon!

Get well soon mate. Can understand why you would want to be out of a hospital pretty quick now. But I understand from a friend who is a hospital doctor that they have split very much into Covid and non-Covid sides - but whether the current surge in numbers is overwhelming that...

When I had a brief stay in hospital (yay massive and infected kidney stones) here in Toronto over summer, they were talking of comsolidating the two Urology wards (since they were only taking in emergency cases like me, and not routine cases that required in-patient care) so that the other could be used as a covid patients who also required urological care. Not sure if they had any such cases while I was there though.
James I think you have been cautioned before about your flying experiments. ;)
Still they say any landing you can walk away from is a good one.
Take care of yourself and may you have great pain meds!
All the best for a speedy recovery Sunray....I know from my daughter's experience that falling off anything as high as roof is not a good thing to do!
Stay safe.
Cheers
Peter
Yikes! Speedy recovery fella.
Going up on a roof is taking 'LEAD ADDICTION' a bit TOO far ! :d Get well soon! :)
Get well soon Sunray, as has been said I hope it wasn't your painting arm
I have a nasty feeling it IS his painting arm.
He said yesterday that he was having trouble 'tryping' (sic) with just his left hand on the laptop.....So I assume he's right handed, and it was his right humerus that got broken at the shoulder.
I'm sure all the good wishes will cheer him up......I imagine he'll feel bloody sore (at least) for a good while yet.
I think Nick's comment about the hospitals 'segregating' the covid patients is correct.
If I got the right end of the stick, James said there were umpteen ambulances 'waiting' to discharge their patients.....and he effectively 'queue jumped'...he had nothing but praise for the care he got !!
If you're reading this James......Hope you feel less battered than yesterday.
Take care, Matey.
All the best - Phil.
Having had a 'garage roof scare moment' in the summer, you have my fully sympathy and empathy.
Hope for a speedy recover to all of the aches and pains!
Good luck and speedy recovery.
Cheers Paul
Wishing you a speedy recovery.

must have a very bad damp problem :- to have moss in the Bungalow :D
Regards
Sean
ON THE ROOF of course ;)
Given up on that now (I also live in a bungalow). Been up on the roof many times during the last 30 odd years but over the years got less agile and so, became more aware of the danger. I remember one of our clients, a roofing contractor, saying he didn't want to be climbing roofs in his late 50s - that was for the younger guys. A neighbour power washed his roof. Flooded the house. Wrong angle. #-o
p.s. Get well soon, Sunray.
Everything I've heard regarding power washers and roof tiles has ended in tears.
The 'Little Old Guy' has been up on our Bungalow roof, scraping off the moss and has got me to buy some drums of tile paint. Think he'll wait for it to get a bit drier, though, before he gets round to that! Think even HE isn't all that happy and he's loony! :o
Strange to think that in my early teens, I used to JUMP off the flat roof to attempt PLFs ...thinking that I may have had to do it for real when The Cold War kicked off. Oh, to be young and stupid again! LOL! ;D
Get well soon.
Bet you thought 2021 couldn't be worse than 2020.
Met a roofer once who had fallen off 3 different times ! !
and he was a professional ?
Hello
It always amazes me that somebody can injure themselves doing exactly what I would have been doing. A listing of my injuries to date are not really necessary at this point of my narrative
Get better soon James, I'm still on the lookout for suitable aircraft for you. :D.
Cheers

Blimey, best wishes for a speedy recovery!

Ooooooh....that's a fib....Just to get me into trouble. :D :P
The personality ? I thought I was supposed to be making Ariel Bender, from Mott the Hoople.....Do you mean I have to cut his bloody guitar off ?
The figure will be 'based' on a certain chap from that time...But no more than that !
Cheers - Phil ;)

Phil - you are way too modest. Just give him a gut that reflects his love of Gold Star beer.
And looking forward to your sculpt of Ahmad Ismail Ali
Fair enough, Chum. ;)
He'll be a bit more 'portly' than normal.
I'll send you a piccy tomorrow.
Cheers - Phil :)
get well soon!
