I'm getting there with the first draft. Could use some fresh eyes to look the rules over in a few days....
If you want some proof reading I can help, think you have my private email Alexander
Happy to have a look. email me a copy
Thanks, gents. In a day or two, then.
Lepanto rules:
1. The leading man is played by a woman
2. "It's behind you!"
3. "Oh yes it is!", "Oh no it isn't!" ...
(Sorry, seasonal silliness ... best of luck with the rules ...)
The heroic male lead is also played by a woman, as I remember.
Rules ready for scrutiny, but I've lost your emails; remind me, please.
Get you back channel shortly
That would be nice.....If anyone could understand that.
I'll translate it into Welsh via google translate Phil - back channel means a private email - not on the forum
PM reminder sent :)
And attended to. Thanks to both.

Ahhh....I thought that was a single word.
Ta....
Cheers - Phil :)
The Jerk of a Turk meets Venice the Menace. We found half a dozen spots where things need trimming and tidying, but I think the rules work reasonably well. Editing can start tomorrow, with thanks to those who have made helpful suggestions.
The little party of allied Barbary corsairs hadn't realised how much bigger Genoese warships got.
This was just a test game; these forces didn't get beyond shouting insults.
But a Turkish squadron with Janissary marines got some payback just afterwards.
Flank attack by a galleass in support of the Spaniards? Hmmm.
Certainly looks good. Have fun
Looking good :-bd =D> :-bd
I've got some cardboard cut outs I could use for some test games once you have done a bit more editing
I can't help wanting to add "Ya Bass!" to the end of this threads Subject. :)
Good stuff, Alexander !! :-bd
Cheers - Phil :)
Copy will be sent shortly, Paul.
Likewise please
Done too.
They look really good. Shame I got rid of my Navwar Renaissance fleets when having a downsize.
Navwar gets a bad press sometimes, but I've always been pleased with their ships and their service, and they're a LOT cheaper. If only they had email!
I agree with FK. Nice ships, nice prices, run by a nice guy who, for perfectly valid (if infuriating!) reasons sees no need to move into the late 20th Century, let alone the 21st.
Ordering by phone or post coupled with very fast turn around means that things arrive in a matter of a few days.
Frankly I've never needed tiny ships so urgently that the delay of a few days was a problem.
