That would be a gas. ;)
I think he's some sort of pervy flasher, but wasn't sure which sausage he was supposed to expose.....sorry. :-[
I still don't get why the image shows a French infantryman.
I'd have got it if matey had a picklehaub on...It would make more sense.
Cheers - Phil
It is, supposedly, a colourised version of a black and white image taken during WW1.
So he's wearing a French helmet because he's French, Phil.
Yes....but French sausages aren't called 'wursts', are they ? :-\
Was this oik caught doing swappsies with his adversaries from another trench ?
Cheers - Jamie Oliver.
(I'm disappointed that no-one noticed the historical numpty knew that matey was wearing a French helm. ;))
I noticed - but then I see all the wurst things :d
I fear you may be overestimating the requirement for strict historical accuracy when attempting humour, Phil :)
I fear that my sense of humour has gone AWOL, at the mo' Mike. =)
Cheers - Phil

He'll be wise to consort only with officers if he visits the English trenches (donkeys are herbivores).

He will have to go a long way behind the lines to find them.
Given the poor quality of food in the trenches these sausages are probaby bRATwurst
OUCH
His name is probably Monsieur Dibbler.
(Ooh...my sense of humour has returned.)

German or French ...'X' Dressing is a new thing?? ;D
AND NO!!
And NOT WITH SAUSAGES, EITHER!! ;D ;D ;D
I was hoping for some insight into the British officer who assisted Herta Heuwer with her curry supplies in postwar Berlin.
This led to the greatest of German cuisine - the Currywurst.

I miss the German Market in B'ham . . .
We have one of those, but a few years ago it visibly changed, and the accents became a lot more Estuary than German. And again, I doubt it'll be here this year.
