Title: deciding on basing for Wars of the Roses
Post by: Norm on 23 September 2020, 10:42:09 AM
I am starting my Wars of the Roses armies and have been wondering how to base .... I still am, but have stepped out and based 2 units on 80mm frontages, which is traditionally small for 28mm, but the smaller footprint is friendlier to my smaller table.

I have blogged an article around the initial two units with some pics. LINK

Looks well. 80mm bases do come out quite nicely, they're big enough to fit a lot of small figures on as well as giving space to make a decent looking unit of bigger figures. The denser bill unit especially looks well, though I like the "scene" of the crossbowmen.

The bases look great Norm and good thoughts on your possible choices. Still not sure which route to go with mine...
