When the Raiden aircraft came out I thought "well I'll just get a couple for ground attack ... just a few ..."
Cut to today ...
German 1940 - 2 x Bf109, 2 x Ju87, 1 x Ju88

French 1940 - 1 x Potez 633, 2 x Ms406, 2 x H75A (AKA P36 mohawk)

Italian - 1 x Sm79, 2 x Cr42, 2 x C200

Late War - 2 x Mosquito, 2 x Beaufighter, 2 x Typhoon, 2 x P47 Thunderbolt

My problem is that I'm running out of excuses to buy Raiden. I've got Bf110's and Soviet I15's on the way.
But at least my 1944 NW Europe project is finished. :^o
Though perhaps a couple of Fw190s?
Find a good ruleset for aerial combat? Problem solved.
I see no problem ;).
What about the Hs 129B for the Germans with either the 30mm or 75mm gun.
Plenty of scope for the smaller countries to get some action.
Gladiators, for the Greeks, Fins, Belgians & Norwegians.
Blenheims for the Greek, Romanians, Fins & Yugoslavs.
Hurricanes for the Belgians, Romanians, Fins & Yugoslavs.
Battles for the Belgians
Not forgeting the German aircraft supplied to their allies.
Surely 1940's Hurricanes and Spitfires should be in Vics of three, not pairs, at the very least. Still a work in progress. :)
However, very nicely done, fsn.

Yes, I am a bit weak mid-War.
I only do the Eastern front in 1941 ... perhaps I need some T34/76 and T34/85 ... ooooohhh! then I could get some Stormoviks! :-\
Having said that, I am getting quite keen on the idea of the Western Desert - Hurricane II, Kittyhawks ... plus Grants (only major Allied tank not in my inventory) and some 50mm PzIII and PzIV "Specials".

Thank you. I put a limit on myself of 2 of any single seat fighters, and one of anything else (yes I know I slipped up on the Mosquitos and Beaufighters) with the rest of the flight being "upstairs".

Worryingly, that thought had crossed my mind. I have lots of the 1:600 a/c which are great for squadron level games ... but these beauties are crying out for a flight level game ... and then I wouldn't have to limit myself to ground attack aircraft.
Looking good! The Raiden manufactuer recommends the 'Check Your Six!' rules but I don't know much about them: https://skirmishcampaigns.com/cy6/
:d
Lovely paint jobs.
And they have just released a few more - Italians, French and 1939 Americans

Oooh! oooh! ohh! They have Poles in the list!
Leon - will they make their way into the Pendraken catalogue? B)
Pah !
I'm still waiting for the link you promised me, yesterday....You OIK ! ;)
Those really do look nice, Matey....Super job. :)
Cheers - Phil :-*
Sent.
Took me hours to find it - very niche. Just don't show Von. She may not be as broad minded as I am.

Definitely, I've got a couple of new ones to add to the site soon and I'll be placing an order for the CanT Z 1007 and B-66 Destroyer this week. Those should be with me in about 2-3 weeks I'd expect.
I'd forgotten that Minibits stocked these aircraft! Dammit, I can see temptation is coming my way :D.
In response to the title of this post - Yes you do, but its the same one as everybody else on this forum :)
I've had therapy, but it didn't cure it !

I suspect Nobby may have one or more 'extra' problems ;)
Well Done...SO far! ;) The Raiden pieces ARE nice. :)
I have some 1/300 metal planes from 'another' manufacturer...from the 70's when I was into actually PLAYING (solo) microarmour wargames instead of 'buying stuff'! :(
I also have several BOXES of plastic 1/350 Batttle of Britain aircraft, (I think 'Helmet Miniatures' ??? Someone restarted the range but think they 'did not fly' :( ) Squadrons/Staffells of 12 fighters or 8 bombers...all painted to a 'rather not bad' level ...for mid teens back in the 70's! Spits, Hurris, 109s, 110s, HeIIIs, Do17s...BUT, they used to 'fly' on the flat tabletop...with extremely basic home made 'rules'...no altitude!!! LOL ;D
They are still there...somewhere!!! So, MAYBE SOMEDAY, they might fly again...with wooden block bases, brass tubing inserts and various lengths of 'wire'...being plastic, stability would be ok. Rules...who needs them? Solo...make up my own, LOL! ;) Huh...maybe someday... :(
What totally amazes me is... as I was at school or later, Poly, way back then...HOW ON EARTH DID I HAVE THE TIME ?? :( :( :(
Well with no 24 hour TV or internet to distract you, plus no sunday opening and iffy tv at times, you had to make your own amusement. Now it's too easy to open the laptop etc and suddenly an hour has gone by!
I definitely wish I'd got into the hobby earlier than I did. I dabbled very briefly with some Evil Empire games as a kid, and again in my early 20s but never got beyond painting a few models from a starter set and I didn't really know historical wargaming was a thing (beyond Napoleonics, which didn't interest me at the time).
Having only properly taken it up the last few years, it definitely highlights the amount of free time I had when younger compared to now! I can only imagine how many different armies I'd have had to play with.
(And that's having grown up mostly with internet and TV)

And you would have needed 10 x the storage space by now.
I made the mistake of letting Mrs Ocs up into my wargames loft on sunday, as I needed help getting a bedframe down for my daughter. She said " knew you had a lot of stuff but..."
Need some way of giving her a mind wipe so she no longer remembers

This is true. I'm going to have to start packing some of my hobby stuff away into the roofspace in the next little while as we look to sell the house as apparently it's not likely to be appealing to potential buyers. Who knew? On the plus side, hopefully in the new house I can have a proper dedicated hobby room rather than a corner of the junk/storage room. My wife is so far reasonably okay with my meager collection. We'll see if that changes a decade down the line when it expands... ;D
