I finally finished off some new terrain pieces this week, details of which can be found on my Blog:

Cool
Looking good

They look really well.
Having made a couple of hills myself recently I can vouch for the pain of awaiting bits to dry. I used corrugated cardboard for the bases and they suck up a lot of glue and take ages to dry out again!
Do you paint and flock directly onto the foam? I covered the foam with a layer of lightweight filler to give it a bit more protection and texture, but not sure if it was entirely necessary. I'm guessing a layer of flock and PVA may be just as good...
Very nice work, Steve ! :)

Thanks chaps :).
@MMCV. For speed I've started painting directly onto the foam, with two layers of dark brown paint and when dry, cover with pva glue and flock. However I think a coat of grit before painting helps hold the glue in place for flocking. Hope this helps?
Thanks Steve, I may try that next time as will want to make some more gentle hills too at some point.
