Can the facebook novices have a link please
Or even some details, for those who are facebook-phobic?
I think I'll just leave it like this for a bit and see what random things people think we've done... :D
They've become/are becoming home owners - or - more accurately - garden owners with a modest brick building plonked in the middle of it! A description which could, by the way, be equally well applied to my own abode!

modest brick building

What scale/size?
Knighted for services to the welfare of health workers?
Freedom of/Keys to Middlesbrough for the same?
Given the hours Leon keeps, a miraculous conception?!
:-\

6mm in a 28mm plot?
Congratulations both.
When's the housewarming party?
Congrats for what I imagine is a house purchase...?
I'm thinking pygmy goats, perhaps a breeding pair.
Sweet move Leon and Adele. Tidy looking property. Love your big and secluded back garden. Its just right for your family right now - a place they can make and call home. Best wishes. James
PS - Are you going to rent out the garden shed for wargames ?
Ah, the joys of weeding, mowing the lawn and trimming the edges. Congratulations!! ;)

Ah! A Pendraken Mansion. ;)
When will there be Pendraken weekend wargaming retreats? :D
Well done! Nerve wracking process :)
Congrats. Of course, owners of an estate have to maintain a number of troops at the ready for their sovreign's service, so there are obligations too.
Thanks for all of the comments, I really appreciate it. I should also point out that the only reason we've been able to do this is you lot. Your continued support for our little business is overwhelming and it's all of your purchases that have got us to this point. Every pack of figures, each little building, every stack of burnt MDF that you buy adds a little to the pot. Normally that pot would put food on the table and fuel in the car, but this time you've put a secure roof over my family's head for the first time in our lives, and I can't say how much it means to us.
It has come as a bit of a surprise though to be honest, we were still paying off some debts and thought that we were several years away from being able to get a deposit together. With the lockdown, our sales through March/April/May were almost double our usual, so the Pendraken bank balance was looking quite healthy for the first time in 28 years! We spoke to our accountant about it and he told us to grab the opportunity while it was there and take a chunk of money out for our deposit (remember that this is Middlesbrough house prices, before anyone gets any crazy sums of money in their heads!)
We've been renting for years now while we tried to get back on an even footing, so it feels quite surreal that things can change this quickly. Even getting a mortgage wasn't an option until this last year or two as our earnings were too low for any of the lenders to even look at us. And now here we are, one foot almost on the property ladder.
I'm glad that each of us in our own small way has helped this to happen and you message has put a smile on my face and given me a great start to the day :).
You know, somehow my Pendraken induced penury has meaning now. :P
I'm pleased for you, though I'm sorry for all your upcoming trips to B&Q. :(
Congratulations guys, well earned and well deserved!
Excellent !!! :) :) :) :)
Cheers - Phil
This is really good news. Good to think that my piles of small figures have contributed in a small way to a much larger pile of bricks!
Well done both and well deserved. =D>
Cheers Paul
Congratulations.
Enjoy your new home.
Great news, congrats both!
Well done and congratulations to you both =D> =D> =D>
Well that's good news - something positive for a change and well deserved for such a nice, hard working couple. Wishing you many happy years in your new castle. Will you be giving it a name and if so, what are you going to call it?
Duncasting?
Dunlasering?
Dunwiththesestupidnamepuns?
Congratulations, Really pleased for you all.
Glad that the Pendraken sales have helped you get there. <:-P <:-P <:-P
We will all have to stop buying. Enjoy the new place ! ;)
Congratulations! A well deserved reward for all your efforts!

L' Adle?
A reference to the business of casting, to Adele and even Leon. Hints a bit at French countryside. And it has an apostrophe!
First lead into bricks. Next lead into gold? :)
Congrats
No I have the only stone that do that !
Congratulations! Happy cardboard box sorting! (Ive still got some unboxed 18 months after moving!).
But the best news is that we can look forward to multiple non kickstarters every year to keep up the mortgage payments!
:-bd :-bd :-bd =D> =D> =D>
I see Middlesbrough is set to have the first legal electric scooter hire firm.
Leon and Adele have a new acquisition.
Coincidence? :D
Got to pay for things somehow :)
Thanks for the replies!

We can't have an apostrophe in it, it'll break the Forum...

Not sure about that one! I'll have to be really nice to the sculptor to get him to continue making shakos and epaulettes.

I'd not seen that! I'm not sure Middlesbrough is quite the right place for an experiment of that kind. Responsible, law-abiding, licensed-for-the-road, these are not words you'd associate with a lot of the local youth sadly.

Surely it should be 42, afterall that is the answer !

Is that a French cooking implement ? (I was never very good at French.)

Typical Pendraken - so close to perfection. :P
Congratulations. Hopefully I'll be getting an order over to Pendraken before too long too.
Congrats to you both.

Saw this, most odd. e-scooters are now road-legal, but only if rented? Strange, very strange.
That does sound odd, Martyn. :o

Isn't Barad Dur more appropriate for the Dark lord?
When My daughter got married they the tables at the reception were named after places in Lord of the Rings (They are both mad on it). I suggested that the one my ex-wifes sat at be called Barad Dur and mine Gondor. I did get Gondor, but they were worried someone might enlighten my ex on what Barad Dur was. ;D

Should've gone with Lonely Mountain. They could've told your ex it was a Dwarven city famous for containing a unique jewel.
Meanwhile, all those in the know would be thinking ... DRAGON!!!!
:d :d :d :d
Shelob's lair?
Kirkwood?
Dol Guildor?
Mount Gunabad?
Minas Morgul?
Moria?
Let's face it, by the end of the third age, anything East of Mitchel Delving is suspect, Buckland is well out...
Surely the most obvious is 'Bag End' ?

My eldest daughter had the same theme at her wedding (the top table was 'The Shire'). My only concern throughout the proceedings was when the groom slipped on the ring .....
p.s. Liked the crack on Bag End Andy, btw. ;D

I think the residents of Buckland might complain.
To keep me amused on the daily walks I have named many local features after LOTR names.
This analysis of the siege of Gondor in Lord of the Rings might interest some.

He does a nice trilogy on War Elephants too, among others.
