How big a base does SYW10 carriage need? What if only 2 horses?
Mine is on an 80x30mm base, which gives about 5 mm spare front and back and a little more at each side (width of model is about 15-16mm).
If you took off the front pair of horses, it would fit on a 60mm base.
Cheers,
Jim
Typical - the counters I am using are 70mm long!
A carriage once cost 17 cents?! Phew, with inflation it would be at least a quarter today!
You know the drill.
Coat.
Door.
Sunjester has one I think he has used only 2 horses to fit into the RUB trays

It'll go on a 60x40 with just the two horses.
I mounted my extra horses on a 40x20 to put up front if required.
Looks liek you've got a fair bit of width - I'm looking at a 60x30 base.

I was just going to take a photo with a 30mm width base so you could see the space when I discovered I'd actually based it on a 60x30mm one (with 20mm extension)! :-[
Were 7 years war limber horses in pairs or in single file? or did it depend upon nation?
Don't care - if the play test is ok, I'm doing Grand Prix racing in Paris 1665. 8)

What team will you play; Duc de Renault or the Prince de Peugeot? I have the 6hp Comte de Citroën almost finished! :D
Cheers,
Rob

Well, that wasn't the answer I expected!
The red carriage drives for the Duc d Ferrari
Conjures up an interesting image of a dozen carriages being thrown around the medieval streets of eighteenth century Paris; absolute mayhem.
Also reminds me of John the OFM's musings on TMP about organising a game involving sedan chair racing.
Pretty much that. Also allows for whipping and shorting at other carriages.

Might have known you would try and get some of your preferred deviances* in :). Not that I have any objection to personal deviances carried out in private as long as they it is with full consent of all participants.

You're mind went there, not mine.
