With the lockdown easing off now, we've got a huge backlog of new products all waiting to be unleashed! So to get them all out to you asap, we'll be releasing a batch every day for the next 10 days.
Starting on Monday we'll have a variety of Pendraken 10mm items, Minibits products, as well as new third-party ranges available. Keep an eye on our website, here on the Forum or our social media and let the unleashing begin!
X_X ;)
Oooh, you tease!
Feels like June might be expensive!
Excellent news and a great way to cheer people up, but maybe not our partners ;) :D.
I think Lee likes to see me active and busy at my painting.
Either that or she likes beating you with new armies ;)
Excellent news Leon

Ohhhhhhh NASTY :D
You hear that noise?
That's my wallet weeping.
:D
But you only opened it for the first time on Monday !
Don't need anything at the moment.
And while you all recover from that...

Well, that moment should have passed now.
If not, sort yourself out man. Leon has a family to feed.

Pleased to remark that today Aetius took Attila to the cleaners. Not an easy victory, but it's possible. Mrs Attila is sulking with her tablet upstairs.
YOU WON ?
I need to lie down. ;)
Good for you, Alexander !
Cheers - Phil

Call yourself a wargamer ?? ;D
I'll buy them when Leon enacts Mrs Sunjester's suggestion and makes self-painting figures.

Order them from Mad Lemmy and they come self painted.
Cannot wait. Like Xmas, hopefully Napoleonic Guard Cavalry, Artillery and Infantry will be in the mix, fingers crossed. Whatever it is well done Leon for brightening up the next ten days of anticipation!

Amazons?
Samurai?
Japanese buildings?
TB Line?
Arab-Israeli infantry? (That would be expensive :o )
I'll bet there's a surprise or two in there.
We haven't had a new Centurion variant for a while. :-\

Aahh! The one in which the Teutonic Knights chased the Amazons into Japan ... and it was all settled with Centurion tanks.
It's a niche conflict.
Sorry, Phil. It won't happen again (probably).

Amazons yes please, though the Sarmatian horse archers have some female (or beardless anyway) figures that may make an appearance as Amazons for me at some point.
Samurai/Japanese buildings always welcome but not sure I can afford to start another project...
TB line - if it's the Islamics, oh yes, but also oh no! Do I really need even more crusades forces. No...but also...yes...
Interested to see what's coming!
If you lot only knew what was sitting on my desk. ;D ;D
But I won't give any hints, unless Leon says I can. :P
Cheers - Phil
If it's sitting on your desk it isn't ready for release. :P

A complete range of 10mm forumites?
The problem will be resisting making an order if you want (need) something on day 1, until other stuff is released later in the run.
and am I the only one who thought of a certain cult TV show on seeing this announcement?

I did think this too. Then I thought that Leon will surely be able to hold an order and add bits to it. Or I might manage to resist actually placing an order while I see what is coming next.
It is a quandary, but a nice one.
I was also hoping for a certain tv show too

Isn't the purpose of lockdown to get through the existing pile of lead? What's the point in buying more? :o

Well so far there'll be some really pleased folks and some really disappointed ones...! A couple of the items/ranges mentioned so far haven't made it into these batches (unless I work some miracles this coming week!) but they won't be far behind.

I think those might be a bit further away as I need to get about 80 vehicles ready to go with them. That'll send a few heads spinning...

There's a mob with torches and pitchforks at the door, shall I show them to the lynching suite, master?

Oh !.......I wasn't even thinking of
those particular ones.
Then I nearly gave myself a heart attack, thinking........."But I've sent those off, haven't I ?......Leon should have them by now.....EEEK !
Panic over...They're off the actual
desk and neatly packed into wee boxes
ready to go up to Pendraken Towers.
When I say I can't find them...Just remind me they're sitting on top of the cabinet behind my chair.
Along with a number of other already packed boxes.
Then there are the three or four dozen figures still stuck to corks......Those ARE on my desk. ;D ;D ;D ;D

I was looking under the 10 days of shiny thread not - New tools available. For some reason it did not show in my unread posts list.
Next shiny is just that...
Yep, Day 2 is now available: http://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,19808.0.html WWII drivers and passengers for today...

Well, sort of. 10mm is prob a bit Too Small do give Character figs justice. HOWEVER...
If a reputable company such as PenD wwere to give Joss Wheedon a prod and offer the free services, (air fare, apart!), from Forumites as characters/extras in a 're-visiting'......
...well, we live in a world of Imagination ;) so, why not let it rip! ;D ;D ;D
Thank you for the 10 Days of Shiny. It's been something of a fillip in these dowdy days.
It has indeed!
It has been with a mix of excitement (for what is new) and trepidation ( for how much it might cost me) that I have looked at these each day.
It's great to see the Samurai released and I put in a not so little order last night for them. Although seeing the size of some of the Naps orders makes me feel that my orders are not so big either.

Yes, a bit like going to an auction and realising you are out of your league.
At least with this Leon can just cast up some more figures for each of us 8)
I've ordered some Samurai. A taster if you will.
If I order more will depend on how the paint job goes.
Talking of paint jobs, is there an easy wargamers guide to painting Samurai and Ashigaru?

Yeah, you keep telling yourself that.
If easy is your desideratum, samurai aren't your friends! Ashigaru are easier.
Such as it is:
* Sengoku armour at least is simpler than earlier stuff; bigger surfaces, and commonly black lacquer with blue lacing, which isn't too demanding. The other major types are red lacquer, yellow or gold lacing, gilt armour with white lacing, and russet brown glossy, lacing eludes me. Mailed sleeves. Lots of sashimono, remembering they weren't all flags either. This is a grotesque oversimplification of samurai armour styles; sode and haidate were still often multiple rows of different braid, and a cuirass covered in damask wasn't unknown. Take comfort in the fact that the spectacular pieces in the V. and A. or wherever are usually display suits, not battlefield stuff.
* Ashigaru in black or sometimes red armour, far fewer cords and rows of lacing. Rememer they're the commonest type by far, so this makes your life easier. Sashimono again, cloth sleeves and trousers, though with metal plates on the former.
As ever, one or two of Turnbull's books will help a long way.
