What kind of themes would people like to see for the Dungeon packs? Let me know your suggestions and we'll see what we can come up with.
- Tomb of the Pharoahs
- Lair of the Goblin King
- Crypt of the Undead
- The Rat Kingdom
- Spider Mountain
- The Demon Pits
- The Dwarven Mines
- Maze of the Minotaur [beastmen]
- Jungle Temple of the Lizard King
- Citadel of the Samurai Apes
- Lair of the Hill Trolls
I read the title as theme parks, and thought Leon had a crazy new idea
Pretty much what Nik said,
if you had divers you could have an undersea version lair of the fish people,
Sci fi version using marines and alien types it doesnt matter that it is stone, set on a distant workd :D
Wasnt there a 30's film series based on Atalntis?...that would be quite fun, they reminded me as Greeks or Trojans
Actually

All what Nick said plus...
The Thieves Guild
Nadsokor - City of Beggars
Basically what Nick said, a variation could be a Necromancers Tower with undead, monsters and the creepy guy himself. And can you really do without a Dragon's Lair? In all cases I think that a theme pack should include appropriate scenery and accessories, as well as a good number of monsters.
A Hero pack could also be nice: various individual figures, maybe some side-kicks, pack animals, other bits. I'd pick that up straight away.

Good call - definitely could do with a couple variants of these :)
Everything Nik said (excellent suggestions), and I like capthugeca`s Thieves Guild idea very much indeed.
As for Pack animals, I already have some of these (I don`t remember what the order numbers are) which are now painted, based and varnished and waiting to go in future batreps.
Individuals, Civvies, side kicks, at the moment, I pick and chose minis as I come across them in various Pendraken packs.... a pack focused on just these would be amazing.
Six 8)
I've had a couple of ideas.
Firstly, packs based on suitable figures from the non-fantasy ranges, especially those from fire-arm eras. I'm currently playing Conan-inspired Swords and Sorcery Savage Worlds, so the following have sprung to mind:
Picts of the Savage Wilderness: non fire-armed Woods Indians from the French Indian Wars (plus possibly Plains Indians).
"Zingaran" Pirates: Conquistador types with morions.
Warriors of the Black Nations: appropriate types from the Zulu Wars (and possibly the Sudan/Egypt range).
Stygia: I didn't see any ancient Egyptian range, but Ancient Carthage, Dark Age Arabs and possibly the Sudan/Egypt range and Ottoman Turks (and the snakes mummies of course ;) ).
Secondly, themed rooms/lairs including appropriate dungeon furnishings was well as the "monsters", eg:
Wizard's Laboratory: book cases, tables & chairs, tome on pedestal, fireplace, etc
Necromancer's Crypt: stone altar, coffins, crates of skulls, ...
(Goblin) Barracks: tables, chairs, beds, crates of apples, ...
Traders' Camp: fire, pack animals, tents, carts, goods, ...
The other thing I'd like to see would be a box (say the size of the booster pack) of corridors elements (with doors, floor furnishings and clean-up crew monsters).
Some good ideas here, I'll have a play about and see what I can come up with.
I still like the theme park idea :)
Just remembered - seeing the Sudan Mahdi cavalry here: http://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=1733.0;topicseen - there's also a lot of desert nomad and Asiatic mountain men in Conan!
How about a "Prisoner of Zenda" type pack - late 19tth century , sabres and revolvers.

Hi everyone,
wow.. lots of good suggestions here. You know, you should forbid Nik to reply when such questions are asked... He tends to eat all the pie and leave nothing for the others :D
Yet, I guess an inspiration that could drag lots of people would be the all-time classic: "Return of the Witch Lord" expansion for MB's Hero Quest.
Let's see:
- miniatures:
|- some undead minions,
|- a big bad "witch lord" that can be the skeleton hero, a vampire, a zombie wizard or why not an undead centaur ?
|- his guards (I WANT the big skeletons :) )
|- may be the big crucified "iron maiden" mummy acting like the undead version of a sphinx
|- I like the side kicks idea. Maybe another hero ? (any pack should include a "guest star hero" :))
- some more furniture:
|- a coffin
|- a crate of skulls
|- some remains
|- a wizard table + a chair
(of course even though I say "a", I'd prefer "some" :) )
- maybe some more rooms + doors
I tend to prefer little rooms as big rooms often feel empty unless you have a ton of furniture.

Oops - sorry 'bout that :-[
As requested by Leon.
'Island of the Savage Queen'. Complete with scantily clad amazons and their Queen, and maybe the odd dinosaur, great ape or other jungle animal. And a band of pirates/explorers/seamen to fall into their evil clutches. Or not.
Pirates (depending on time-frame) from ECW/FIW ranges?
Explorers/seamen from the Boers, or the SCW ranges?
To get you all in the right mood...

This instantly made me think of the fabulous Ray Harryhausen Sinbad movies - so throw in an option for be-turbaned, scimitar-wielding protagonists too.
Ratmen...... yes, without a doubt Ratmen :-\
Yeah you`ve guessed it. Ratties are my latest wish list craze. I was looking through a few dusty old copies of White Dwarf from the mid 1990`s and was blown away by just how atmospheric and cool looking the GW Skaven looked back then; and the story mythos behind them was fascinating and very dark.
Yesssssss!!! 10mm Ratmen would be Ssssoooo Sweeeeeeet!!!! *hisssssss*

PS: (UPDATE) okay, first batch ordered :D I`ve seen them; Failed (my willpower dice roll), and now they will conquer!!! I simply have to have an entire horde of these critters gracing my tables.
There is another one which I'm about to start, Wolfstein or Spear of Destiny. I already have wolfes and german troopers but I'm still missing one figure of Adolf Hitler and one werewolf or two.

that, right there, is one of the best gaming ideas I've heard in a
very long time...
I want to see pics of this one...ah, nostalgia! 8)

Right now I'm looking for tiny nazi flags to stick to the walls :)
BTW, do you know if the is any German officer with the classic cavalry pants and officer cap (like that plastic one from Matchbox) in the WWII German range?
Also, do you know if there are any British airborne troopers with berets instead of helmets? I wish there were British commandos...
Commandos =BR107 :)

Can you tell me something about the German officer?

Without looking at figures [which are out in the garage & I'm being distracted by a nice Single Malt] I reckon you'd do well to look at:
GR162 Rommel & Ramcke
GR213 Officers, Early War
I was thinking of GR213 Officers, Early War.
Cheers!
No worries - here's the DAK fellas:

Awesome!!!
Nik's list, plus the other good suggestons like a 'Heroes pack' pretty much cover the first release schedule Leon. :D
My copy is still in the ether but once it arrives i'll no doubt be writing 'adventures'.
So it occurs that combining 'adventure modules' with all the figures/scenery, etc. needed to play it might be an interesting development?
I'm going to look at the Theme Packs tonight, while I'm watching the England B side on ITV... I'm hoping to have some for release with April's batch, cos we're a bit thin with releases this month with us concentrating on getting ready for Salute.
Your Dungeon is en route to the Post Office in the next hour, so should be with you tomorrow hopefully.

You can find some here, might need to rescale though. There's also some nice posters to put on your dungeon walls.

So Cool! Thank you very much!
Just remember to take pics of your finished Wolfenstein dungeon. We like pics!
(Had to say that before Nik shows up).
Ofcourse forgot that he'd already been here and done that. He's faster than his own shadow, y'know.

I'll do it but you'll have to be a patient as I just ordered the miniatures I need for this project.
thanks again

Hi Blacksmith,
Could you post please the list of minis you ordered for this Wolfenstein proiject?
It is really cool the idea.

Hi Blacksmith,

It is really cool the idea.
Well, for normal troops I ordered early German troops with rifle and also with MP40, as well as early German officers. For the dogs I'll be using the Warmaster wolves from the Vampire Count army that I already own, for werewolves I'll be using the beast man with wolf head converted with the legs of German troops. Also I'll be using SF1 heavy troopers to use them as über soldaten (I'm going to paint them like panzers).
The good guys will be the Pendraken British Commandoes.
I'll be deligthed to hear other ideas or suggestions from other people to make this project.
Definetly I would like to see pics of that! :o
I love that T shirt, or rather the words on it :D
HI Blacksmith
Any update on this project? What rules you gonna use?
Btw check these links for yout reference :

http://www.mac-archive.com/wolfenstein/pc-bosses.html
http://www.mac-archive.com/wolfenstein/weapons.html
http://www.mac-archive.com/wolfenstein/items.html
I'm really curious of how you gonna do this in 10mm. :-\
Is it crnacko or crancko?
The update I can tell is that two days ago I received message from Pendraken saying my order was just shipped!
Regarding the rules I'll be using the CR 3.0 engine which allows you to play solo. I'm still thinking if playing Wolfstein as it is (with just one character against nazis) or playing Wolfstein style but with full commando squads assaulting Hitler's dungeon.
BTW, thank you very much for the links, very useful!
These are the guard dogs I'll be using for Wolfstein:

While I'm waiting for my order I'll start making some petrol barrels although I'm not sure yet how to make them. Any ideas?.
It is crancko. Already changed.
Your welcome for the links. Hope it helps you. I am really curious about this new project from you ;).
I've already received my order and right now I'm cleaning, glueing, flocking and priming them. There are not only German and British soldiers but also some surprises that I'll be using for Weird WWII. I hope to show you something of my progress in a week or two.
Cheers

Excellent - looking forward to seeing these :)
Excellent! They are out but I would suggest to post pictures of the box content for each pack. It is hard to select the right pack with no pictures.

Yeah, I'm hoping to get some pics of all the Dungeon Stuff soon. If we can fill in the Fantasy ranges, then folk can see the codes as well.
