Title: Leon is the greatest salesman ever
Post by: Last Hussar on 24 March 2020, 01:31:12 AM
If you've seen my Napoleonic MDF thread you'll know that there are movement trays for the Commanders. These are specifically for Fields of Glory Napoleonic for the general style I'm going for. The troops and commanders can be used 'loose' for other rule sets, but FoGN has Command Points, which I am representing with AdCs, and a Cartouch for commander name/division.

Thus there are holes for a 40mm circle, 3x10 mm circle, and a 10x40mm rectangle. Leon cut these trays for me especially, on top of the normal trays, and various sizes of rectangle (for bases, name plates, status markers etc).

a few days later a big box of MDF arrived, packed Tetris style - lovely.

A couple of days later I realised the commander circles were probably the bits from the tray. HE HAD SOLD ME THE BITS HE CUT OUT, AND SO WERE RUBBISH.

The bloke is a genius!  ;D  :D

Normally they would have been rubbish but as they're standard circle sizes we'd have put them into the stock drawers instead.  If it's random custom trays we'll sometimes throw the offcuts in with the package in case they're of use to anyone.

Let's look at this another way... would you charge extra if someone ordered movement trays, but asked for the 'offcuts' to be included?  :d

Apparently the order I put in on Sunday is ready.

The bugger. Now I don't have an excuse to pause painting. :'(
