They have cancelled the Eurovision Song contest !!
<:-P <:-P
Its not European, The marking is all political and Its takes up hours of time on the telly, and in my opinion is total cr*p
Except for the ABBA bit - that turned out OK and it was about Waterloo, a number 1 song with the word 'Napoleon' in it, an anthem for wargamers, how about that. It did of course go off the boil then what with no more wargame songs etc.

Oh dear, what a shame....Never mind. ;D ;D ;D
More to the point, there's a lot more complete and utter poop that's been cancelled. ;)
Eastenders ?.....Can't believe that's
still running. :o :o
Cheers - Mr Cynical G*t
That's the one good bit of news from the current covid-19 outbreak. I can still remember watching when ABBA won and they were country miles ahead of anyone else.

I'm one of the happy few whose television has more than one channel.

Mine has more than one channel, but I am not the only one that gets to choose what is on, and someone likes the Eurovision song contest
It could be quite amusing if dear old Terry Wogan was commentating. :)
Cheers - Phil
Take it you attended his Christening Phil. :P :P
bad one - Glastonbury is canceled.

Graham Norton does quite well and I found Wogan annoying.
Graham Norton has stepped up pretty well for snide drunken commentary. Not convinced he's quite as good as Wogan, but we can't pickle people and decant them when needed for ever :(
I used to enjoy Eurovision as a cringing guilty pleasure with much drinking and hilarity but that's a long time back and these days I can't drink enough to make it funny for more than about five minutes ;)
Given "Europe" appears to include Israel and Australia and... it's not exactly as described!

Same with UEFA, includes Israel & a group of former Soviet republics that are well to the east of Turkey.
The marking isn't political. It tends to follow where ex-pat communities are. You can't vote for the country you are in, but you can vote for the 'old country'
And yes, Israel isn't in Europe, but there isn't really anywhere local for them.
The most political it got was when Jordanian telly rage quite its broadcast after Israel gained a commanding lead.
STILL sore about all those aircraft....
