We set up, I get an initial advantage in a skirmish, then Lee beats the stuffing out of me.
That town base needs attention. Far, far too yellow.
I did win the cavalry scrap; the Spartan horse were swept off the field by my Thracian mercs. But then we spent the rest of the battle trying to catch that unit of peltasts! Ah, well, at least the evasion rules work.
Plenty of dented shields, but Spartan quality did what it's good at. Sigh....

No change there, then. ;)
Nice piccies !

Is the issue just that you're an abysmal dice roller, or is it just Lee is an undiscovered military genius?
Bit of both. If she ever focusses on anything, she'll be a new Bach or Einstein.

What about the game ? :D
Less important. :):):):)
Looking good. Well played Lee

Well done Lee =D>
The new mat really makes the games look so much better. I think a good mat is really important in 10mm games as the units are much smaller, so there is always more of the table to see.

This is very true, but should be easy to fix with a thin brown wash. Probably a bit on the figure bases to tone down the yellow would be good too.
I've toned it down already.
Nice pics FK.
You do realise that IF you ever do win, everyone on the forum will suspect it as pure propaganda.
But I think your lucky to have a willing and very extremely competent opponent in your good lady.
To miss quote, "I don't care if she's good, is she lucky" - try getting Lee rolling both side's dice
