The Picts make better Viking bowman than the Norse set do, I think. They got an ambush on the bogey table, but were instantly spotted by psiloi on the opposite ridge, alas.

Note the usual dire positioning of an army that is always at a disadvantage thanks to enemy LC superiority.

My bondi centre moved in a bit slowly, but held very well (the Lady didn't leave her escort in this game). A disadvantage of a wargames Byzantine army is that the enemy knows that line of staff slingers have Molotov cocktails, and nobody goes near them!

The berserkir were again valuable in tying down a dangerous unit of Alan lancers, then lucking out and breaking them.

My oppo, the Australian visitor from Saigon. He came close to victory, despite being new to the rules. He was experienced in gaming, and a dark ages enthusiast.

We've been importing your teen-soaps for about 3 decades now.
6 of you include Skippy the bush kangaroo.

The wiser among us are starting to decode the lingo.
