Lee loves LC armies. Numidians, Huns, and Scythians are all in her favour. My ambush on her flank completely failed to harm her - annoying, since I took some trouble setting it up, and her king was at risk.
They couldn't hurt us, we couldn't catch them...but their friends were working around our flanks. We did drive out their skirmisher foot in the town scrap with a handful of velites, but too little too late.
Equites failing to catch Numidian mosquitoes. Triarii likewise. Note the inevitable breakthrough in picture two, as the Africans stream through the gaps in the line and start choosing their victims.
The first Romans to break. That shower of javelins was too much to be borne. We beat off the Nellies, but our morale crumbled after that. The imitation legionaries earned their salt too, as the picture shows.
Well done Lee =D> =D> =D>
Congratulations Lee
As a Field Marshall, you seem to be losing an awful lot of battles, Kitty. :P
(I can talk - it's been a few games since I last won a game. :-[ )
Romanes eunt domus!!
You know it's a bad day when your triarii are chasing after lighthorsemen.
And a worse one when they catch them in flank and still don't beat them!
