Through the ice, snow, flames and plague we've managed to get the first batch of releases ready! Our first offering of 2011 includes the long-awaited release of the new Napoleonic range, with the bulk of the French foot, along with the mounted Officers, and a dabbling of cavalry. There will of course be lots more to come over the course of this year. We've got a couple of painted pics of these, and the pics of the masters can be found here: http://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=897.0 (http://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=897.0)
Also, we've got some more handy little conversions, to fill in some gaps in both the Vietnam and SCW ranges.
Some new additions to the Pendraken offering come in the form of dice, in a wide range of colours and finishes, with pictures hopefully coming soon. And we are also now stocking the full Vallejo Model Colour range, with prices starting at a very reasonable £1.70 per pot. These are not currently on the website (due to their being about 240 codes!) but we'll have them done in the next couple of days ready for purchase.
So, here we go:

VALLEJO MODEL COLOUR
We have the full Model Colour range, including the Metallics, Transparent Gel and Basing Putty. These will be added to the website asap.
Glad to hear about the new additions to the Vietnam ranges. I'll be adding some of these to my next order.
Greetings
Look good.
What is the content of NPF3 the 1809 French line fusilier command pack?
Regards
Edward
Paints sound good. I'll be needing some dark green to paint my British Legion once those Tarleton wearing cavalry come out...
Aaargh!!! And I have just about completed my Americans ;(

Next month!
Vietnam... looking good. Going to have to make an order for Salute, now if only there were some riverine monitors to buy too. :P
Man, this year just gets better and better!
The Frenchies are looking good and I'm waiting in eager anticipation for the Austrians.
Whatsmore paint and dice...its a one-stop shop...the Tesco's of the miniatures world...who would want to shop anywhere else? I can't think of anyone :P
Keep up the good work!
Im luvin it - luvin it - luvin it, just got to paint 200 or so Russians and ill get an order in for htose Frenchies, dear dear me my wife will have to go, Ive no time for her ;D :D
Excellent news as far as the paints and dice are concerned. I don't play any of the periods mentioned, but I'm sure those that do will be well pleased with the miniature additions as well.
One little question about the 7mm dice: The assorted pack, can one specify the color? Or is it just a random mix? I ask coz I need a bunch of reds and greens, as well as whites, but I don't need any other colours.

I can probably knock you up a pack of a particular colour if you want, the next customer who buys some might have a lot of blues/yellows/oranges....
:D
Well, the actual color is less important, it's just that different colours mean different things. I'll add it to my next order once I've figured out what I need to complete my US and German. Thanks, Leon.

Is that Tarleton day ? 8)
Excellent - those French look great...I'm going to have to really test my willpower on those...although it's about time I thought of the Moscow campaign - and those greatcoated figures would look stunning in snow...hmm...
On another note - and only because I'm impatient - when are you likely to get those Mahdi cavalry released? I'm holding off on assembling my Sudan armies waiting for these..!
Good to see Minibits expanding too - it'll be great to part with all my hard-earned in one place 8)

The Sudan stuff (along with the other masters in that bunch of odds and ends) didn't make it into this months releases unfortunately, but they will be making an appearance in the February releases. So, only another 23 days to go!
More Minibits stuff coming soon, in the form of more dice, glues, some more static grass and textures, and whatever else I can get my mitts on!
Excellent 8)
Where are the Chinese armies :-\

Did we see you at the Leeds show? I think you were asking about the shako covers?
The pics of the masters can be found here: http://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=897.msg7072#msg7072 (http://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=897.msg7072#msg7072) and here: http://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=897.msg8169#msg8169 (http://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=897.msg8169#msg8169). We actually had an electrical fire in December which damaged our light box, so we're a bit behind on getting more photo's onto the site.
Also, we can supply odd numbers if you need them.
Just to let everyone know that the full Vallejo Model Colour range is now on the website: http://www.pendraken.co.uk/Vallejo-Paints-c27/ (http://www.pendraken.co.uk/Vallejo-Paints-c27/)

Hello boys, please note that in french "chausseur" is a sort of a shoemaker ; the centre company light infantryman is a "chasseur" (by the way there are horse chasseurs as well, light cavalrymen in line and Guard).
At your disposal if I can help you by checking that sort of things.

I know, that's what has delayed me getting them on the site, I'm still waiting on the images from the supplier. I'll give them another ring.

Ah, damn it! I'd checked that as well, got it right on the cavalry, then messed it up on the foot! Cheers for the info! 8)

Yes i was the one who wanted covered shako's for the infantry and yes i was wanting lots of infantry and still do .i prefer the campaign look assorted infantry in slightly different styles etc . Am I right in thinking that the infantry in greatcoat are the ones with the covered shakos?

We've left the scheduling for this range up to the designer and we've not received anything yet. (I know he's currently working on the French cavalry.)
As soon as we have them, we'll put pics of the masters up, but I don't have any timescale unfortunately.
Greetings
With the French infantry what's the minimum frontage per figure? Just thinking through future base sizes.
Regards
Edward
Around 7.5mm per figure I'd think? I think the picture in the news story on the Pendraken site is using a 40mm base? Gandalf would be able to confirm.

I put them on 40mm x 20mm bases. I didn't have any particular rule set in mind at the time, they just looked nice and worked well with six figures on a base in line and column.
Just for info, we've split the LMG's into two separate codes, one kneeling and one prone:
NVA/VC - http://www.pendraken.co.uk/Post-War-c20/Vietnam-NVAVC-sc138/
VC8 Riflemen, kneeling, firing, bush hat £1.10
VC9 RPG gunner, kneeling, RPG-7, bush hat £1.10
VC10 LMG, Vz 30, kneeling, bush hat £1.10
VC11 MMG 7.7mm Type 92 team, bush hat (3) £1.10
VC12 LMG, Vz 30, prone, bush hat £1.10
What will February bring in regards new releases for the Napoleonic range , as i'am trying to formulate a list for York at Vapnor Attack ?
Please , please .

No new Naps for February, we need to build up some more masters first. The stuff in the January releases was pretty much everything we had at that point, with only the artillery crews left over. We've just received the Cuirassiers and Dragoons today, but we'll not have time to mould them for Feb, so they'll be ready for the March releases, hopefully along with some other bits.
We spoke earlier in the week , i have a few idea's for the the figure loading the musket in the new Napoleonic range ,
1 make him into a colour sargeant with pole arm , over his right shoulder
2 make him into second batallion onwards standard bearer
3 make him into an enthusiastic sargeant waving a shako in his right hand and give him a musket in the left
as we could use the same figure forall three minor poses do all three .
Stuart

Napoleonics in great coats - essential! Brilliant stuff.
